from the FAQ (not the T&C's - my bad)

Can the Tesco Price Promise vouchers be redeemed in Store Petrol Filling Stations?
Yes, but they cannot be used to purchase of fuel or any excluded items (please refer to T&Cs for exclusions).

    https://www.tescopricepromise.com/Pricepromise/pages/faqs.aspx#petrol

To say that they are not a store, is a very poor attempt at a fob off. If you ring the customer services number and complain, they may well send you out a gift card of some description.

Thanks for that im printing out a copy of the t&c's and keeping them in my bag! I will contact them via facebook too!

And what kind of petrol station was it ? Was it part of a superstore or an extra ? In which case they are part of that particular store.

Or was it an esso express, in which case they are an express store

It was the petrol station that was part of a store, had no probem at all at the esso expresses at all!

I dont really see it as a risk at the moment. They dont seem to be in a hurry to enforce and hopefully they will have some comms in place at the time. Even if they dont, you have possibly lost one voucher and you can argue with Customer Relations for compensation or just go and get your money back.

I am carrying on with my shops as before and not worrying about them.

BTW... I found a blog by the IT consultant who helped introduce the original Price Check back in March 2011. I wont link but he did seem very pleased with himself. The blog posts trailed off late last year.... I wonder why?

Just come back from my local one they apparently had a memo go out saying they werent allowed to accept them without authorisation over £10 now, there was no one there to authorise it so i left it. Was the 11th? Tesco i did tonight was the first time i had heard of it!

Just going to sit and put all my receipts through now.... thank goodness for having own domain with catch all on the email :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Oh i did get a little print out slip that stated they are now comparing to asda, sainsburys and morrisons now with the new link to the site i couldnt see anything on the site to say it had changed though?

On post no.7 of the coupon thread is a link for a £1 voucher for Johnsons Baby Nappy Cream.
If you purchased in ASDA its £2.20 per 110g tube, but in Tesco its on offer at £1.00.
Could be part of a shop for an APG (Didn't know if there was a thread for APG offers)
Haven't tried out the theory as I don't need the product - just thinking aloud
    The end is nigh

LOL check out tesco price promise..

You need a clubcard now, AND they compare other stores to now.

Your receipt is already being processed, and you should receive your email soon so that your shop can be compared to Asda, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons. That’s our Price Promise to you.

    Capped at £10 now to..

The voucher for £10 looks like a unique number now

Do you reckon it's unique and personalised with the clubcard details? Do we think that it's one time use now and they have finally sorted the problem out?!
I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

I doubt that, the vouchers are one time use already, so long as the checkout op does their job properly.

yes but now they will be able to trace people through the clubcard system if vouchers are used more than once, i.e. fraudulently.

I suppose wombled receipts are no good now unless there is no clubcard on them?

So what happens to my 3 weekend receipts if thye dont come back - no point inputting them all again except for the razor one.

Just wondering wether to do an experiment today. I've got my points vouchers to use up and I think one is for water and one for soup so I could buy these, thats my 8 items and a razor and see what happens :D
