Do you reckon it's unique and personalised with the clubcard details? Do we think that it's one time use now and they have finally sorted the problem out?!

He reckons that they will be logged in the system when scanned so that if you try and scan it again it will register on the system as already being used.

I had one yesterday that was adamant that I needed a clubcard, I argued it and he called the manager and the manager said that I was right.

I have a post redirection set up from my old house im wondering whether to order a clubcard to go to the old house and get it redirected to here so that im not using my clubcard if that is the case? Although not sure on the t&c's.

Has anyone had one of the new vouchers that they could copy and paste the t&c's?

I have a few *cough* [STRIKE]lot[/STRIKE] of the old vouchers valid til the end of the this month. I think im going to make the most of it while I can. Have a feeling this could be coming to an end :(

yes but now they will be able to trace people through the clubcard system if vouchers are used more than once, i.e. fraudulently.
You and they both appear to think that.

What they will actually be able to do is to link an email address to a clubcard number.

I suppose wombled receipts are no good now unless there is no clubcard on them?

So what happens to my 3 weekend receipts if thye dont come back - no point inputting them all again except for the razor one.

Just wondering wether to do an experiment today. I've got my points vouchers to use up and I think one is for water and one for soup so I could buy these, thats my 8 items and a razor and see what happens :D

I can't see how they can enforce it for the clubcard to be used on the transaction i mean what happens if you forget your clubcard?

I would imagine it is going to be a case of inputting your clubcard number when putting in your receipt details.

If someone can get me a barcode from one of the new vouchers that has been used with a clubcard and their clubcard number I will get OH to check it to see if any clubcard info is encrypted into the barcode.

to see if any clubcard info is encrypted into the barcode.

I don't think it needs to be. Because a clubcard number is needed to obtain the voucher in the first place, that (unique) voucher and the clubcard used are intrinsically linked at the outset.

If this (unique) voucher is then used more than once presumably that will flag up on the system, and they already have the linked clubcard details from when they issued it so it will be apparent who is using them more than once.

It was always wrong to use these vouchers more than once IMO, but now they have made it so that you can't, and rightly so.

My friends just got a £2 odd voucher for the razor that came back as NA the other day by re inputting it as it now compares with Morrisons. I shall try to get the barcode for you.
I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

I was asked if i thought the voucher would include clubcard details which is what i was commenting on. To obtain a voucher you need to input your receipt details into their system i am not aware of any t&c that states you have to use a clubcard on the original transaction.
If you need to use the clubcard in conjunction with the new vouchers whilst using them this is what is going to cause issues if there is clubcard information encrypted into the barcode.

    Thanks hun.

I am wondering how Tesco can state that a clubcard has to be used, it is not compulsory to have a clubcard to shop there. Why should you have to give them your personal details to be able to benefit from them charging in some cases extortionate prices in comparison to their competitors?

I don't see Asda asking for my personal details...

indeed but you also have to input your clubcard number along with the receipt to get a voucher, which then links them

unfortunately they can put any conditions they like on things as long as they are made clearly obvious at the outset.

Which is what i said on the previous post.

I am well aware that they can, however how moral is it? When the option was there to all their customers before but yet now its well if you don't give us your personal details your not having it!

sounds like Big Brother Tesco all over. The whole clubcard scheme is a terrible invasion of privacy, IMHO. This just takes it one step further.

BTW, I don't agree with it either.
