    b) The same voucher with the same number came back. See my post on the 11+ thread - I'll copy it here.

Some points about the new system that I have deduced with evidence this morning.

    1) For those wondering if you need a clubcard that matches the receipt to input it it, the answer is NO - you merely need any valid clubcard (use one you find on a receipt blowing in the wind - once you've guessed the last digit.

    2) There is no minimum of 8 items as yet

    3) Total basket will be compared so make sure you target each item correctly. E.g A bottle of pop costs 50p at Tesco but 25p at Asda and 75p at Sainsburys. A packet of crisps costs 50p at Tesco but 75p at Asda and 25p at Sainsburys. If you buy a bottle of pop and a bag of crisps you get nothing back. If, however, you buy 2 bags of cripss in 1 shop and 2 bottles of pop in the other shop you get 50p back both times.

    4) You DO NOT need a clubcard to spend the voucher in shop

    5) No matter what (valid) clubcard you use to generate a voucher, the voucher barcode will look EXACTLY the same i.e. it is not linked to a clubcard.

    6) My fingers are tired

    7) Vouchers are capped at £10

    8) This list is not conclusive

    HTH

The question that everyone will want to know.. Will the system allow the same voucher to scan again LOL

I think the first 12 are like a code for the system to check if that has been used before. Like a issue number, if it see it again it will not allow it.

    About the 5 you checked.

The only change on each voucher is the bottom part ?

Ok.. I did 6 last night.. All razors.. (Only submitted 4)

The barcodes are not the same.

    9258***1878 14110019990 (£10)
    9267***3354 14110019994 (£10)
    9279***1515 14110019993 (£10)
    9246***9326 14110019999 (£10)

I will be taking the razors back to tesco for a refund, I may however use the vouchers first :)

In that the T&C still (?) insist the original receipt needs to be present, what do you think ? Or do you think every Tesco in the country is linked to a real time voucher checking system ?

I guess we will only know when its tried and tested :)

Im not sure if the first 11 digits is just a tracking for internal reason. Before it was a generic code. The code is nothing to do with clubcard tracking.

Im now testing to see if changing the date from 23.00 to 11.00 will give another code :) will have to wait 24 hours lol

I've checked my old ones and the numbers are different, but my phone is fudged so I can't properly check the actual barcode - are the lines different on it?

Just wondering if the numbers are actually relating to the barcode or not.

I think the system will know the value.. I dont think the value is on that barcode.. but then again someone posted 231 for £2.31 so it maybe cos there all over a £10

The barcode picture is different on each one.

I have an online delivery most weeks and always use price check/promise afterwards. I don't actually have the physical clubcard that is registered on my grocery account. I lost it ages ago and never bothered replacing as I only use for my online shops so still get the cc vouchers through.

I went to use price promise today for a delivery I recd yesterday and it asked for my cc number. I don't have the number as I've lost the card and the details are partially xxxx'd out on my account. I have tried another of my cards and my OHs clubcard and none will work with the delivery I received yesterday. So it seems it will only work with the CC used for that transaction.....for online orders anyway

I haven't really got into this JTD (I caught the last month of the DTD) as I don't get to the shops often enough. I do use tesco online sometimes but wasn't aware you could do jtd on these.
I would be interested in hearing what success people have with these as I will be doing a shop probably next Tuesday or Wednesday (never know whether it's best doing it before or after they change prices).

    Thanks
