Also, as people have mentioned, I think it's criminal that any old vouchers that you might not have used or printed off already are now coming back as just £10.
You purchased your items and input your receipt in to their system before their terms and conditions changed. I think it may even breach statutory rights to change the terms and conditions after a transaction has taken place and then enforce that for all previous transactions.
The didn't give !!!! when they scrapped DTD and failed to honour the old T&C's for people that shopped before 12:00 on the 28/04/11 and they don't give a !!!! again now.0 -
The price promise is nothing more then a label for them to give to the news when they need it. Its not for people to use, just as a trick to advertise on the tv.. the prob is that its crap.. asda flys all over this. no money limit. ie shopping at asda was £100 and tesco £50 you would get a voucher for £50+ the 10% thing to.. Tesco say that they listened to customers.. what customer would say.. Umm tesco you over charged me by £20 but why not stick a £10 limit on it. its utter crap from tesco.. its just a label to fool customers.0

Its to keep up with the Jones's after Asda launched theirs.
Asda promote theirs, they actually strive to be the cheapest and our proud of it. They try very hard to be cheapest and will even give you 10% extra as a kind-of apology when they're not.
Tesco launched the pricecheck so as not to lose face with Asda, but don't promote it, and try and pretend it doesn't exist.
Spending an APG coupon is easy and all the staff are well trained, whereas in Tesco the staff have not had the proper training, even the managers/supervisors don't know what to do a lot of the time, and often treat you as though you are doing something wrong when you try and spend a coupon.

Just a word of advice.. I think tesco eyes are looking on here.. at

I had a couple of emails saying that they have a voucher for me.
We was talking about it and then
Tue 10/07/2012 16:04
I got the email about the 8 items not being on my receipt.
We always knew that they did, especially during the dtd days. Tesco might be stupid but they are not as stupid as some think and prob have a person dedicated to seeing what is posted about them. That is why some people do not put Tesco but T*sco or something else so that it is not so easy for them to find posts on other non Tesco dedicated threadsBe thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Just for info - I have 2 vouchers for the same amount but 2 different receipts, that were submitted without a clubcard (before the new rules).
The new bar code - first 12 digits are different but the last 10 are the same on both vouchers. The last ten must determine the value of the voucher! Not sure what the first 12 stand for!
It's the last three but one numbers that determine the amount on the barcode - hence the £2.31 before. (The last digit is called a check digit and is just there to make the barcode work properly). Anything for £9.99 & above will end in 999x (x being the check digit) and will need to be entered manually as before.0 -
