    Me also I am going to pretend the deal never happened

    Oh it definitely happened. I should add that when I first went to CS the SA called the manager over and about 4 feet away from me they began whispering to each other. The SA then cheerfully told me that I was right there had been a mistake and that I would be refunded the £100 difference. I then pointed out their DTD policy and she said "Oh yes, I had forgotten" and paid out the £200 but now in a much less happy manner. I suppose she gets full marks for trying.

    Further to this and following comments by others I wonder why many SA become so upset when it is not their money. Does anybody know? Is there a store bonus that is affected or does someone get a rollicking for having failed to change the SEL? I hope not.

    NO bonus but they have alist of "losses" and each store is rated. DTD refunds go into that calculation.

    Plus I was told each store has a "Compliance Manager" (goodness knows what they do all day) who gets questioned about every DTD by the store manager. How true it is I don't know.

    They definitely have lists of all the DTD by product though, they once showed me it for a DTD I had (trying to prove it was deliberate on my part). However, the report they showed me had someone else getting a DTD on the same product before and after me - e.g. they were aware of the wrong label but didn't bother to correct it. They quickly took the report away when I pointed this out to them!

    They do get a profit share or atleast thats what has been quoted to me by a supervisor, when trying to get my DTD

    Nope no profit share, not for the SAs anyway. The stores do get rated on 'losses' though so SAs are told to try to avoid if possible, andwill get told off so that's why they're not very happy about doing it! (Even though its the compliance manager/price integrity team at fault)

    Staff are payed a share of profits at the end of each year, no matter how high or low, HTH, although the lower you are the less it is

    Sorry Paperweight, unless I am mistaken you have only been given JTD.
    DTD would have give you a free camera and £200 in your pocket!

    You paid £199
    camera sel was £99
    overcharge £100
    DTD = 2 x £100 = £200
    If this is the case Tesco has pulled a fast one, again!:eek:

    LOL perhaps with maths skills like that you might like to redeem some CC points for a course in maths! :rotfl:

    Just a reminder about the Duracell Ultra batteries 4 pack, all the stores I have popped into tonight still have them showing as buy 1 get 1 free either on clip strips or on Duracell floor displays by the till or strapped to shelves in the toy area in a black Duracell sleeve with a big red buy 1 get 1 free, also it looks like Mr A is doing 2 packs for £5.00 so might even be a JTD to be had aswell as they are £4.99 @ pack in Mr T
