Nice one! Can't believe they apologised in there tho! Last time I had a DTD on a phone in there, I was going back to CS to complain and went via the shelf only to find another friend of Martin's doing exactly the same in there. We muttered to each other about MSE and both got the DTD, but they weren't happy and thought we were in cahoots. Even though we didn't talk to each other in front of them as didn't actually know each other.
Could do with a pack of four, but am guessing they'll have changed the price by now! No point me trying Alfr3ton as they're far too on the ball in there - well done though!
They've got some of those 3p soft grip clothes in there and instead of putting the oversticker over the barcode, they've put it alongside, so if you bought them at the self scan and made sure you scan the original barcode you'll get them at 3p. I did find one pack without an oversticker. They're in the homeware aisle on a clipstrip conveniently near the price checker machine if you want some.0 -

I'm a newbie here so sorry if this is a daft question but when you have a high value DTD do CS ask why you didn't notice the high price when paying? I know you probably put it through with other items too but its quite a difference in price? I am worried that if I ever am lucky enough to get a high value DTD I will be shamed if they start quizzing me!
if they do do this . (it happened to me before ) just tell them u thought u had made the mistake and u wanted the item either way . but u went back and double checked the sel AFTER PAYING .. to make sure .
i got paid a while baack about 120 euro and 170 euro of sweets free a while back . oh plus a gift card worth 10 euroi pray for more days like that

Note sure if this was store specific but might be worth checking. I was in my local Tesco's this morning and picked up some 1.5kg bags of Tesco Jacket Potatoes - they had a big red sticker on them saying 50p which i thought was very cheap so i got 4 bags. As she rung them through the till they came up as £1.25 so i very stupidly corrected her (instead of paying and then going to CS and getting DTD). Anyway i popped back at lunchtime and the baskets of potatoes had been removed and there was empty racks with the SEL showing £1.25 so this was obviously a pricing error. The bags are clear & brown.A home is not a home ..... without a dog0

Got DTD on Thursday night. Went to get 4 x meal deals to use 5 off voucher. Plus 2 extra wines for the 5% discount. On the meal deal advert on the display it mentioned the cheese fougasse sharing bread but there was non on the display. I found one on the next aisle as I remember previous jtd on this item. Anyway, long story cut short fougasse didn't generate the meal deal discount. I was overcharged 5.99. Cs re scanned items at desk and gave DTD there and then without even going to check the shelf or me having to ask for DTD. She refunded 11.98! Result... am still waiting for jtd voucher as I had the nottage hill wines and 3 dauphinoise.
Original bill 54.27 less 5 voucher less 2.02 wine discount less 11.98 equals 35.27
Then I used 2 x previous jtd vouchers of 4.54 and 4.73 which means I paid out 26 quid for 6 bottles if wine and meals for 4 nights. And I'm still waiting to see if I get myvjrd voucher for this purchase! Will edit when I do.
Quite chuffed with this trip to T's bournemouth.0 -
I just had a very nice unexpected DTD on a meal deal...
I had a look on the boards here and mysupermarket before I left to see what would give the best JTD, made my little list and went armed. I was planning on getting the Gu as I also had a coupon for it, but sadly it was out of stock. So I purchased:
Potato dauphinoise
Chicken chasseur
Nottage hill red
Tarte au chocolate
I bought quite a few other things in there that I had coupons for and had worked out beforehand, and also some clothes. I paid, used £13.55 worth of coupons (combination of previous JTD voucher, Daily Mirror coupon, internet coupons and a couple from a leaflet I picked up in store - including one for a ready meal, which I used towards the meal deal)
I noticed the meal deal didn't come off the receipt, so went straight to CS. The member of staff went to check everything, came back, said it was all correct, and apologised for offer not coming off. I had been charged £18.48 for the meal deal, which meant a DTD of £16.96. However, when I got home, I noticed that I had actually been refunded £19.69 (not sure why - typing error on cashiers part??) meaning my meal deal was free, and I had a little money off the rest of my shopping. I just looked online and not everything I bought is showing as in the offer, but I am a very happy bunny. Now just to wait and see if I get a JTD voucher back as well! :jMFW 2016 #32 £1574.66/£1500:j:j0 -
£4.99 and BOGOF on Duracell AA batteries. Offer ran out yesterday but had tons of them near the tills, etc etc. So charged £19.96 for 4 x 4 batteries instead of £9.98. Originally offered refund of £9.98 but even after pointing out the board, took a while to get the person behind the desk to understand ..0

The man in front of me in the queue last night was overcharged on Kettle Chips, they should have been 2 for £3, he bought two bags of black peppercorn ones (in black bags) and he told the cashier that the deal hadnt worked. Got paid last night to take away some Finish Quantumatic Starter Kits in the Y0rk branch.
They were advertised at £2.53, but scanned at £5.07. I got 4 and was charged £20.28, and then got £20.32 DTD back.0
