    I got banned from mine. For 24 hours, until it became front page news in the local paper and I got a grovelling apology from HO and the store manager. The best part was as part of their "proof" that I was trying to obtain DTD they showed me their DTD report, which showed that on most items they had overcharged people before and after me - e.g. they hadn't bothered to correct the SEL. They weren't best pleased when I pointed it out!

    For some reason Tescos didn't sell the local paper on that day :). I now get treated with a mix of fear and trepidation whenever I go in there.
    Why do tesco offer Dtd if they dont want people to claim. Surely it is cheaper for them to give Dtd than to employ somebody to walk round each store checking for out of date SEL's. Infact I think us glitch hunters should be given staff discount cards!!!!;)

    Regrettably the impression I got from D!dcot - who don't remove SELs when you report a misprice - is that they have no incentive to correct the misprices because for every one person who gets DTD they will overcharge loads of others and make their money.

    The store manager there, as part of his "apology", told me that there are people who make a living from finding the DTDs at Tescos. To which my reply was that if people can make tens of thousands of pounds a year from Tesco, they should sort their pricing out! (Although of course I hope they remain as incompetent as ever ;))

    and Tesco make £millions by leaving erroneous prices on the system and only refunding those that spot overcharging on their receipt

    DTD discount should not be voluntary - it should be law to protect consumers being over charged and encourage supermarkets to stop over charging - DTD or some other form of compensation

    If a supermarket charged 10.000 people £1 more (than shelf price) for a box of chocs - then merely refunding the 3 people that 'noticed' their £1 is not suitable compensation - and the law really needs to step it about this
    When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?

    If you read the blue board, dtd is in addition to tescos returns policy and statutory rights, so there is absolutely no reason if you change your mind that you cannot return your item for a full refund. Head office will confirm you can do this even if the receipt has been marked but it causes less fuss instore if it hasn't been signed as many staff struggle to understand their companies policy.:D:D:D:D:D

    Not in my store they don't and despite 4 people at HO telling me I could return my dtd item and me arguing the case with the manager, I left with the product in hand. While I returned it the next day at a different store, HO rang me 4 days letter following an email complaint and told me that I wasn't entitled to a refund. The left hand of T doesn't even know what the right is doing and neither do HO even know their own rules. They're far from satisfactory imho but then I had got my products in effect free after DTD so didnt pursue it further. I just havent shopped at T since.

    For Tesco price check if I buy 2 products for £10.19 each, price at Asda is £7 each. Then, used a £3 off £20 or more till split and a £1.50 off the product voucher (only have one), that would mean I would pay for the two items £10.19x2 = £20.38 minus £4.50 in discounts = £15.88. If I don't buy any other shopping and went on Tesco price check, would Tesco Price Check give me £1.88 back or £6.38 back? Any help appreciated Thanks:)

    Assuming that the items are 'found' on Asda as well as Tesco (with Tesco nothing is certain!), you should get a JTD for £6....odd. The coupons don't count.

    yes, we all know Tesco make up the rules as they go along, often not finding a match on things that you know full well are there, and cheaper, in Asda. :mad:

    Good Morning all. Little Dtd today Baking Potato's 2.5kg £1.75 Yellow SEL a bit further along from them BOGOF. Didn't even notice it was an out of date SEL. Paid £3.50. Went to CS who tried to give me £3.50 refund til I asked her Do I not get Dtd. Oh yes was her reply. £7.00 returned to me without even a hint of a smile!! Thanks Mr T:)

    maybe i am being thick but...
    if you bought 2 packs at £1.75 each and it should have been £1.75 for the two then you were only overcharged by £1.75 to begin with meaning the £3.50 she handed you was DTD.
    Either you bought 4 packets or you managed to confuse her into giving you quadroople(spelling i know) the difference
    You can't make someone love you. All you can do is
    stalk them & hope they panic & give in

    Thanks for the answers:) I ended up buying one Fairy Platinum 30's lemon combined it with 18 packs of schwartz mulled wine spice in alcohol section of Ms T's B@@@tol @radley St@@@ half price went through full price got dtd. Used £3 off £20 till split, £1.50 off Fairy Platinum facebook voucher.

    Fairy £10.19
    18xspices = £24.84
    Total = £35.03
    minus £4.50 vouchers
    Total = £30.53

    DTD = £24.84
    Total = £5.69 plus 35 clubcard points.
    Should get £3.19 voucher on Price check
    Plus £9.83 back on money back guarantee.:j

    I have tried this and it works:

    Buy Fairy Platinum 30's LEMON £10.19 in T's
    Use £1.50 facebook voucher to get £1.50 off ur shopping.
    Then, do price check - Asda price £7. Get £3.19 JTD voucher back.
    Then, send off for money back claim to receive £10.19.
    So, £1.50 off ur shopping plus £3.19 Tesco price check voucher plus 30 dish washing tablets for a 36p stamp:)
