iPhone -vs- Android: apps & customer service..?

I'm an iPhone user (3GS). I'm going to replace with either the iPhone 5 or SG S3 when they're released.
One concern I have regarding the apps...
With iPhone I decided to jailbreak as I was sick of buying apps that didn't work. I think it's a con that there's no real refund system. In the real world if you buy a faulty item you get an exchange or refund.
I've only ever had 1 refund from Apple/iTunes. Some of these apps aren't cheap, so when they don't work, you want a refund!!
So is th Android scene any different? Do they actually allow you refunds? Are they more reliable than Apple for this?

http://www.google.com/mobile/android/market-policies.htmlReturns: You have 15 minutes from the time of download to return any applications purchased from Android Market for a full refund of any applicable fees. You may only return a given application one time; if you subsequently purchase the same application again, you may not return it a second time. Where the option to return an application is available, it will be made available to you through the Android Market user interface. You may not return any Products other than applications.0

Refund are easy to get on android.
I think there is a short mandatory timeframe in which you can cancel/retund the app.
Some will write into the offer an extended timeframe. Seen a few offering refunds after 1 or 2 weeks trial.0 -

You are already using the jail broken iPhone to get pirated software. Now you want to do the same with android phones. Is it because a lot of pirate sits are closing?
However you look at it, it is wrong to copy apps and use them for free. Many apps are available for free on both system.
You can use the review from others to find out if app is right for you or not. Just because you disagree with the refund system do not give you the right to copy software, it's not your work.
You seem the type of person who will be asking for a refund for every app purchased so you get them for free.
You need to get life and stop using copy software. The app developer work hard to make a living, STOP using pirated apps. How would you feel if someone take something from your house or hack into your bank account?0 -
The refund policy for android apps Via google Market
Refund Policy
You have 15 minutes from the time of download to return an application purchased through Android Market for a full refund. You may only return a given application once; if you subsequently purchase the same app again, you may not return it a second time.
How to return an app within the 15 minute return period:
Launch Android Market on your device
Select Menu > My Apps
Select the app you'd like to return
If the 15 minute refund window has not yet passed, the app is eligible for return and will have two buttons saying Open or Refund
Select the Refund option
The Refund button will now say Uninstall. Press Uninstall to remove the app from your device and initiate the refund.
After the 15 minute return period has expired, the Refund option will not be available. Selecting the Uninstall button at this point will simply remove the application from your device. More about uninstalling purchased applications.0 -

I don’t carewhat you think stealing is stealing regardless of if you get paid apps for free from Google, apple or anyone else. I will personally not do that on any phone including Android. If I can’t afford something I will not buy
He or she has already said that he is testing the app and if they work, he or she will then pay for them to use it.0 -

Is it not possible that OP jailbroke his Iphone as he felt that in its original form it was network software that was preventing his legally purchased apps from working?0 -
Guys - when dealing with thegoodman, you need to remember that it is very difficult for him to see any other point of view with his head stuck so far up his own a**e.0
