Paid £1450 for my Meriva 5 and half years ago, just sold for £375, bought a Hyundai I20 2012 nearly 2 years ago for £1500, should be a few years left in that, just replaced Meriva with 2012 Kia Ceed £1800, I love Bangernomics!!

Whoah!!!! They're all way too expensive for Bangernomics..... think you need to revise your budgets down somewhat, by 40-50% ;)

Usual places - autotrader, local buy & sell on faceslap, gumtree, for sale sign in car windows, etc....never bought through ebay personally but many have (I've just never really needed to tbh, but would not discount it)...and often overlooked are family & friends when shifting their old motors.

Ohh now that can be a dangerous game. Friendships can easily be ruined over something like this.

    Yes, if done insensitively... however..

Someone over on the Bangernomics thread bought their childminder's car off them for the same or possibly a bit more than they had been offered in px against their new car. The recent history was known, car had been well looked after..the childminder may have got another bit off their new car for having no px,or at least no worse.

    win-win situation :)

I got my Fusion from the for sale sign in it's window as I drove past it to work one morning...thought I'd missed out as when I phoned someone was due to come view it. Later that day, the seller called me as the prospective buyer hadn't shown, so I went and viewed :)

I believe he'd also put it locally on faceslap, indeed, my last-but-one car I found on FS..
