i am a SAHM during the week but generally loose about 2 hours a day going back and forth to playschool. My lovely littles get me up at 6am so my day starts then. I try to have all down stairs done before we leave and do general tidies. I guess its about being organised and when you have kids you kind of get into a routine.

Whilst others may sit down watching morning telly putting their feet up, I do some jobs have a coffee update what I have done on here and then go do some more. Inbetween being whichever make believe character my kiddies want me to be, fav at the moment is a dog - which involves me chasing them round on all fours woofing!! Once they are fed, watered, bathed and bedded i usually do my ironing or draw up list for next day.

I meal plan so usually have a months worth of meals sorted, batch cook and generally make all our food from scratch. Oh then at the weekends I go to work (sat and sun - 3 weekend on, one off).

Basically, I am strong, I am invincible, I am WOMAN!!!! lol

Seriously, once you have been following this programme for a while its about maintenance and the jobs dont take that long at all.

Thanks shell, that makes me feel better. I thought I had to do all this AND get up at 6, come home at 5, and have a life!

You put me to shame. When I had my son, I was a SAHM for 5 years, but apart from baby club, toddler group, coffee mornings, playing at being a dog (we all have to do that sometime!) and the like, I confess to doing NOTHING lol.

Hmmm I suppose that's why my house looks like a landfill!!!

How ON EARTH do you people find the time not only to do all this, but to post on here all about it too!!

I'm not having a go - am sincerely curious - do you work? And by that I DON'T mean you should work, just a sincere question.

Some work, I don't.. well not outside of the home anyway.. I'd probably be bored silly at work I am so used to being busy all the time. I post here when I stop for a cuppa.. which is often! lol But in between this message and the last one I have dished out fruit, made cheese on toast, loaded the dishwasher and set the breadmaker to go. I do the kitchen work while cooking dinner most days. The WM and TD's are on constantly, takes me a couple of minutes to load all 4.

I do half hour blocks on a good day.. 15 minutes if I am forcing myself to move. Yesterday I was flying, today I am in pain so more like slithering!

I start at 8am and finish about midnight.

My DH has come home with four rastberry canes and two redcurrent bushes. I sent him straight up to the allotment with them. Don't think he's too impressed with me!

We don't have an allotment sadly everything gets planted in the garden, at the other house it looked like an orchard! Despite there being loads of empty allotments there is a 3 year waiting list for them!!! I don't think I could manage the necessary time to run one.

Pigpen, you should come to my work, you wouldn't get time to be bored. Actually, you could probably teach, you almost have a class of your own anyway - your behaviour / classroom management would be a breeze!

Nickyhutch, I work 8-6 so though I follow the board I usually don't post unless it's a holiday. Actually, the longer you do it, the easier it gets as when I am wiping things down these days I am literally wiping and not having to clean days (weeks?) worth of dirt and dust. Also everything is tidy and organised so everything is faster.

Though I still need organising at work, Moggins can you take a week (month?) off and come to my house and write me a plan for work please?

Work I do is voluntary, but keeps me busy definately, after HT I will be in the school about 10-12 hours a week (for experience), and probably more soon. Support group takes up some of my time. Then there are all the kids appointments, 3 hours in CAHMS a week with one just to start with. I really don't know how I would fit a job in with all that and uni work, aswell as looking after the boys/home. I think work would be a break but would have to stop all the rest.

Right today, list, hmm, getting there! Downstairs desk needs tackling but think I'll wait until the boys are in bed tonight. Couldn't post one item as I lacked a vital thing - an address, waiting for an email back. Meal plans and shopping etc all done. Floors need another going over later, done 3 times, but mud off dogs grr!

Haven't done any baking yet, tea is on now so will use oven after that for tarts etc.
One day I might be more organised...........

[Bnickyhutch[/B] i bumble my way through this some days are v productive some days hopeless - i have 2 girls (20months and nearly 4) so it depends how they are too - some days we are out lots, some days v messy - dresssing up and painting!! at mo i have to be horse rather than dog!! I don't post as much and the reason i do this is because i got fed up with being embarrassed if anyone called due to big big mess! :o and although at mo its not perfect people could still pop around and it would almost pass as the days mess! I work v v part time - literally 2 days a month and not all the time and i am studying v part time so all very flexible. But i am not good at it so need this - both moggins list but the support and encouragement of reading the posts!! (can you tell having a pants day!!) so am going to list what i HAVE done to boost me!! :o (and give me a clap after each one!!:rotfl:

scaredy cat, concentrate on what you have done, not what you haven't. The girls are still little and the most important thing is time with them. From what I can see considering the age of the girls you've managed a lot. At the minute my house is far from perfect, even had to mad dash around before my Dad came over this afternoon, half term definately shows in this house, I have been spending more time with the boys aswell, neglecting many things. Definately need overdrive after half term and more organised before/during the next school hols :o but we all learn from mistakes.

*Sniff* hope that's not tea burning  back later

S'pose I best feed the fish.. so I can send spare child home!!!

I have 2 things listed on turbolister.. just another 15 to go and I'm done for the day!

I'll swish the brush round the kitchen floor while I'm in there.

Just had a call from the opticians that my specs are ready to collect, the problem is... I had to transfer the money I had saved for them to the current account this morning as we were overdrawn by the cheque which SHOULD have cleared next Tuesday clearing today!! .. good job that money was in there.

SO!!.. Do I use my mortgage pig money (£60) and get the other £54 from DH.. OR do I write a cheque and pray it doesn't clear before the 28th when we get paid?? Oh decisions decisions!!!

Scaredy.. stop making excuses and be proud of yourself for achieving something!! I used to go for days and days doing nothing at all even when I only had 2 children! Because I wanted to spend time with them while they were little. They are both on the gifted and talented register at their respective school and both could read by 3. Don't under-estimate the time you spend with them!!!! :T :T :T :T :T :T You've done great today!!
