  • Oh and she posted a load of CDs in the bin and through the slot of the video. For about 3 years we thought the video just didn't work very well (made a grinding sound while playing) then eventually we replaced it, picked it up to move it and about six CDs fell out!

    It's the weekend!!!!

Remember your daily and nightime routines. Get those uniforms and clothes ready for Monday morning. Relax and have a good time. Enjoy your weekend everyone!
    No problem!

Uniforms washed, shoes scuff coated, homework half done (just one more book review to do :D ), and DD is going off to a friends house tomorrow so I'm going to have a great weekend :D Oh, and I've done the dishes from tea and S&S the kitchen again. I'm now going upstairs to go to bed as we have to be up in the morning.

    Weekends List
    • Dailies
    • Car tax - OH's job
    • Phone DD's friends mum at midday Saturday to check everything is still okay for her to go around.
    • Sort out stone setts for collection at 1pmish Saturday
    • Ironing
    • Maybe the monthly shop, depending on when my money clears - Yay...just checked and in theory I have been paid today..at least my online banking is saying I have :D
    • Finish homework with DD.
    • Change beds - Sunday
    • Packed Lunch for DD - Sunday
Thats it....I can see a relaxing weekend ahead of me :D THANK YOU ALL, I'd never get things done if I didn't "have to" report in ;)

Off to put the washing on hangers to dry and then I'm going to bed...now whether I go to bed with Paul McKenna (confidence or diet ) or I just take a book (Happy Housewife) or should I take Martin :money::confused: Who knows ... night night all :rotfl: night_moon.gifsleep.gif

    Relaxing weekend???????? What is that??

It will be the usual mayhem in here.

DH is 'resculpting' the junk in the loft so the electrician can get in on Tuesday and rejig the wiring to the lights and light switches. He is then [STRIKE]putting on the new bathroom door[/STRIKE] and boys room door. He is then.. mopping the kitchen floor lol.

First of all he is taking the 3 middle girls to dance class for 9am and [STRIKE]buying the glass for the lights [/STRIKE]above the doors on the way back, when he gets back I am going to collect the 2 girls (the other is there while 1pm) then taking the oldest girl to have her specs straightened and [STRIKE]picking mine up[/STRIKE] (decided to pay by cheque and incorporate it into the wage outgoings.. someone else will just have to wait!!)

Uniforms are drying as I type!!!

I bought 6 bottles of fairy fabric conditioner and my eczema has gone wild.. so much for it being stress!!

    My list..

    pale blue/green wash
DS1 uniform and [STRIKE]DH work clothes [/STRIKE]wash loads.. then my basket will (hopefully) be empty!! WOOHOO!!!
    [STRIKE]bread![/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]DW.. twice[/STRIKE]
    list ebay stuff.
parcel up things that need to be flung Only 1 paid up!!
Decide who is being paid how much this week when DH gets paid.. and his extra £30 a MONTH pay rise.. best not spend all that at once (it doesn't even cover the life insurance!!)
drag 3 boxes of stuff out of the shed to be ebay'd .. I am determined to get a decent chunk of the junk gone and the debt gone with it!!
    [STRIKE]Collect glasses[/STRIKE] and have DD1's straightened!

  • Well time for bed and didn't get the jobs done I was going to - but enjoyed watching American Idol! Have done a (rather long!) list for the weekend - have two days to do it and hopefully can get it all done as would really like a lovely clean and tidy house for my DD to come home to on Sunday. Will report back tomorrow evening (as a means of keeping me on task -ish) letting you know how much I get done.

Come to think of it, if I spent less time on here I would get rather more done :rotfl:

    Living room
    • Declutter and tidy (very big job!!!)
    • Hoover and dust
    • Swish away any cobwebs
    • Clean coffee table
    • Clean skirting boards

    Stairs and landing
    • Wet dust spiral stairs and dust wrought iron
    • Hoover landing

    Bedroom
    • Put away clean washing which got as far as bedroom but not as far as wardrobe
    • Hoover mattress and change bedding

    My list
    • Go to bank and pay in cash
    • Update spreadsheet when done above
    • Go shopping for fruit, veg and milk
    • Calculate interest on bank charges
    • Type letter for bank charges claim and post if done in time to catch post office (send recorded)
    • Check bumpf for self assessment (tax for mstery shopping)
    • Mark history books
    • Type up minutes from meeting and email
    • Prepare report
    • Parsnip and apple soup (slow cooker)
    • Gym x 2
    • Sort out pile of papers in living room
    • Check cc balance
    • Pay car tax online
    • 2 weeks menu planner and top up shopping list
    • work emails
    • wash bedding

Edited to add: order printer cartridges (DELL so can only do online)
create folders for bank charges claim and mystery shopping
Proud to be dealing with my debts

Morning Flybabes! Not posted much this week. With OH away (he returned yesterday) I've taken advantage of his absence so every room has been tidy (although not spotlessly clean) and I've tried to clear my emails, paperwork and filing.

Don't know how any SAHM's have time for TV. I've never worked so hard in my life since I've been at home. I am struggling to find a balance between housework/cooking and time for DS though - getting better but not cracked it so as I'm happy. Any tips gratefully received. I had to pretend to be a patient this week - told to rest between 42 weeks and 10 years! :rotfl: Chance would be a fine thing :rotfl:

  • What is this magical Stardrops that you all speak about?

(and where can I get some?)

I have never heard of it, so I'm doubtful if they even sell it here in Holland.

Anybody want to send me some in return for some Dutch goodies? ?? :D:D:D:D

WM is on it's second run this morning.. I managed to get DH to 'finish' the hallway last night.. as in: put up the new light fixtures, screw the shoe cabinets (IKEA RULES) back onto the wall, as well as the coat hangers.
I couldn't wait to get those coats out of my living room!..

Today is washing day... and for DH is will be grocery shopping and putting a new cabinet together..

what do you think? Have been wanting this one for years and FINALLY it went on sale so I couldn't resist any longer.
