Pink.. you want a day out on your own with free run on HIS bank account/credit card/money!!!!

Bebee.. thank you! I don't find it in the least amusing in here.. it is like living in the loony bin!!

My 2 year old scribbled on the outside of my kitchen doors earlier.. every unit.. and the DW and the freezer... so out came the stardrops and and spinge (ETA .. spinge?? that is a posh sponge to you commoners!) and I wiped them all down so they were clean again. I was in the middle of cooking dinner so I went to grab a pan and she had scribbled on the inside of the pan cupboard as well.. so out came all my bits again.. and the little treasure had only scribbled on the inside of every cupboard as well, and a couple of shelves! While cleaning that up she sneaked upstairs and spilled shampoo all over the new bathroom floor boards.

Not forgetting the cat biscuits she ate after chasing the cats away from their bowls!!

    Dear little soul :D
  • OK - sorted for tomorrow at least. I'm going to use Shell2001 as my inspiration for tomorrow as she has done such a lot today. DH can spend some quality time with the baby. ;) I may just buzz off for the day yet, and forget the cleaning.

But then, if i do some things will probably not get done until April. So i had best get on. The plan of attack is this. (Not in any particular order, although i like to work from the top of the house down, and buying the present will probably require a trip to Meadowhall which will be best to do on my own early before it gets busy.

    Saturday 24/2:
    Make baby bottles
Wash 2 loads of DH’s clothes
    Empty airers of dry clothes
    Refill with wet washing
    Deal with post
    Buy dad’s birthday pressie
    Wrap it
    Make bread
Visit DH’s boss to see their baby for 1st time
    Make pizza dough for tea
    Watch dancing on ice
Swap bedding on our bed and baby’s cot
    Empty hoover before starting
    Hoover mattress
Hoover our room, babies room, spare room, bathroom, landing, stairs, hall, living/dining room, kitchen, porch
Dust – our room, spare room, babies room, bathroom, hall, landing
Wipe window sills – our room, landing, babies room, spare room, living room, kitchen
Clean mould from bathroom window sill
Ring cattery to book cats in for next weekend
    Clean fridge, including door seal
Clean cooker, wipe worktop, 2 tables, all appliances
    Wipe tiles
    Clean sink
    Clean cat feeding mat
Clean all skirting boards, door handles and light switches
    Clean 2 downstairs doors
    Clean bath, sink, toilet
    Clean bathroom and landing windows
Declutter dining room table, and desk
    Do all shredding
    Empty shredder

will need to start by tidying kitchen from tonight/washing up. I know that is bad, but DH and I both pooped, getting drunk on rum and coke (in the interests of decluttering, DH just found several bottles of spirits, plus a pricey bottle of champane in the garage from when we got rid of the booze cupboard when we redecorated the living room last summer. One rum bottle now emptied. We are drinking to celebrate being together for 7 years. AAAH.We'll save the other 2 bottles of rum, tia maria, cointreau, dram buie, archers and 2 vodka for another time, or we'll get nowt done this weekend. )
  • Pigpen - you made me laugh out loud! I love 2 year olds, bloody monsters they are!

Bebee - I bet you were pleased about that!

Whenever my dd is doing something she shouldn't, i'll shout 'Summer' and she'll jump a mile in the air! When my SIL came to babysit once, SIL was almost reduced to tears as my dd had done everything she could to be a monster.

She took the skycard out of the box and hid it, then whilst SIL was looking for it, dd poked SIL's DS right in the eye. Whilst SIL was trying to calm her DS, Summer grabbed her mobile phone and chucked it down the back of the sofa. Whilst SIL was looking for her phone, DD then decided to methodically shatter about 12 china ornaments all at once. Then just to top it off, whilst SIL was picking these ornaments up Summer hit SIL's DS with a big stick.
    What the Deuce?
  • DD was like that too. She scribbled everywhere, she climbed on everything, she tipped every shampoo and shower gel we bought straight down the bath pplug, or worse, the toilet, she put whole toilet rolls down the toilet and flushed it, she once smeared her whole body with aquaeous (sp?) cream, she tipped every meal straight over her head, OH managed to lose her TWICE and the piece de resistance aged about 11 months she opened the cupboard, despite child locks, and somehow unscrewed the lid on a bottle of red food dye and tipped it right over her head. She was pink for a week! I kept putting her in the bath which turned immediately blood red, but her colour didn't change much at all. Luckily she's eight now and as good as gold.
And I'm wanting a new baby? I must be mad!
