I do - I apply for jobs that I choose to apply for, according to my experience/qualifications/accreditations/salary expected.
And in the meantime, keep taking other peoples money?
You are in London and there are jobs there.0 -
but if the Job Centre found you a job paying say £13k a year for a 40 hour week you would apply?gettingready wrote: »I have my 2 weekly sheet filled well over what is expected of me - I comply with what is expected from me.
I am expected to have 6 "actions" per week, I have well over 20-30 each and every week. Simple.0 -

For a period of between 1 and 13 weeks you may specify that you will only accept work in your "usual occupation" and at a level of pay that you have been getting prior to becoming unemployed.
You are also able to further restrict your availability for employment if you can show that:- the employment would conflict with a "sincerely held" religious belief or conscientious objection; or
- the nature of a particular job would aggravate or exacerbate your physical or mental condition.
For the first six months of your claim you are able to restrict to limit your availability for work by restricting the rate of pay for which you are prepared to work. After the first six months you must accept work that pays anything above the national minimum wage.'0 -
^ Gosh, you should go and work for the Jobcentre!
Where I am it says 8% unemployment, but remember all the figures are scewed anyway because of the other 9.5 million adults who are economically inactive.0 -
Me? I wouldn't want to work there thanks as I would be asking the managers to explain to the 'customer' all the stuff I have asked about where the adviser has just shrugged their shoulders or told me I'd never work again at more than NMW.dandelionclock30 wrote: »^ Gosh, you should go and work for the Jobcentre!
