Congratulations on the job offer Lois
Lolly - you do get used to the taste of green tea if you persevere. I don't drink any other tea now. Saying that, I don't think it has made any difference to my weight loss so probably not worth it
Fred could you add 2 hours Bodypump and 1 hour Yoga to the challenge for me please.
Thought I would try yoga to see if it helps with all of my aches and pains - shoulder, neck and back stiff and 'creaking' at the minute. Has anyone else tried yoga - does it help with flexibility?0 -
Yoga does help with flexibility.
Mine would be dire without yoga.

Hi all
Sorry I haven't been here for a few days - we had a weekend away in Ipswich staying with friends. It was lovely, but foodwise it wasn't good on the scales. My friend MADE me eat cake (she's a great cook and knows I love coffee and walnut cake) and then MADE me eat quiche, and pancakes, and fish and chips... oh dear... it was great though!
This week's result - 1lb gain. Back on track and aiming for a loss for next week.
Thanks for the congratulations - I'm going to be Office Manager for a children's charity. It's a fixed term contract until next March. Only 25 hours a week, but I'm happy with that.
Lolly - have you tried rooibos tea? I find it more palatable than green tea and I think it has the same properties.
Fred - I 'caddied' while my OH played 9 holes of golf on Saturday, it took 2 and a quarter hours if that helps you quantify it for the triathlon.
When I say caddied, I have my tongue firmly in my cheek, because I don't pull the trolley (I have a painful shoulder), and I don't know one stick from another so I don't advise him which one to use. I do give him advice but usually after he's taken his shot, when I tell him he didn't want to do it like that...! :rotfl:I still get invited to come along for the walk though, so he obviously appreciates my company.
Well done to all the losers so far, and good luck if you've still got to weigh in.

Yoga is very good, and I can recommend Pilates as well - it helps to tone up the little supporting muscles and the core muscles, which helps to provide strength in areas that can be problematic such as the back.
You need to find a good instructor - the best thing is to ask around your friends and go on recommendation.

-2lb loss for me today.
Not much to report exercise wise this week as working loads of overtime and nites at the moment to pay for holiday, and new pup not leaving much time for anything else. Although since Sunday I have been doing a 20 minute walk with her each day (OH does the evening walkies!) which will increase as she gets a bit bigger.DFW Nerd 1394.

Hi everybody,
Another 2lb increase for the last week. As I said in my last post, I've completed the three set triathlons. Have still been doing exercise after this point but from today need a new plan.0 -
It sounds like you had a great birthday Ms Night Ryder - contratulations
Thanks for the advice about yoga everyone, will definately keep it up. The instructor seems to 'know her stuff' and there were some very flexible ladies at the class, so it must work.
I have a physio appointment today - they have offered me acupuncture for my neck / shoulder pain. Feeling a bit worried now as 2 people have told me that it made their symptoms worse.
1 hour Body Pump and 1 hour Kick Fit to add to the challenge please Fred.
I have also gained 2lb  Not sure how, but hoping it will come off now I am back into the exercise.
Good luck with the weight loss this week everyone.0 -
