Sometimes we concentrate so much in the moment or recent that we forget to look back and see just how far we've come. You have a terrific achievement to be very proud of.
If you want any info on the upping the calories thing drop me a pm.0 -
Hi fredsnail,
Is it too late to join the "Whistle" team for this month? I know last Wednesdays starting weight. Thanks for considering.0 -

Hi Danny, next Wednesday will be the last week of that challenge - we take the % from the start of the month.
I don't mind adding you if you have your starting weight from the start of the month?
Or you can wait a week and join next months challenges?0 -

hello everyone,
Firstly just wanna say well done to everyone who is losing weight.
I on the other hand am lost. I am feeling so depressed about my weight, I am the heviest I have ever been...try to diet or excercise but cant do it. Then depression leads me to eat more and then its a vicious circle.
My weight gain has really affected me, as my clothes do not fit me anymore and I don't wanna go out of the house or meet friends. I only go out for work.
I really want to lose weight and reading how well everyone has done, I thought maybe someone can help me and give me tips.0 -
welcome black diamond.
I think your answer may be to just take baby steps and break things down into little chunks.

Hi Black Diamond, welcome to our thread - we're all here because we want to lose weight - and want to help each other.
Rather than calling it a diet why not start to make healthy eating choices - ie fruit instead of crisps, vegetables instead of chips. Try cutting out the snacks of biscuits.
It's surprising sometimes how much the little adjustments all add up.
Keep posting here too - the more you post the more support you will have - even if you have a bad day we've all been there so will help support you.0 -
Hi fredsnail and beanielou,
Thanks for your messages. I do not have my weight recorded for the beginning of this month. I'll see what I think about next months challenges. Thanks.0 -
Hi guys - enjoying the discussion also! My boyfriend last month tried not shopping in a supermarket for a month and is now converted. I think when we live together it is something i hope we can both do, i would love to get back to basics and make a lot of my own things. I don't work much so i have the time to do it.
As for sitting around the table, my family are big on it and always have done. Lately my family have become lazy with it, but my mother and father who are in their mid to late 60's with children still at home do it less so now - and i can't say i blame them at their age still having children at home!!!
I've just got back from seeing prem rawat (maybe beanie will have heard of him?) In birmingham, and then the last few days were spent in magaluf (i know) You'd be amazed how much alcohol you can buy for 3.50 euros each. We had two shots each, a pint of strong gin and lemonade, followed by a jug of cocktail. Its lethal over there. I wont be going back because its just not my scene what so ever now, but the beach was nice and an experience was had!0
