Here's this weeks chart:
Congrats to our SoTW Frodobaggins
Well done to all our losers and STSers this week, commiserations to our gainers - clean slate starts now and you can make a difference.
Here's this weeks chart for the Cardiff to Dublin challenge:
Well done to everyone taking part.
Here's the teams for this months team challenge - if anyone would like to join the Shamrock team please let me know.
This weeks quote is from Michael Jordan

Hi all
Fred - thanks for the chart. I'm happy to move into the Shamrock team if you want to even things up a bit. (I nearly said leprechauns!)
Frodo - well done for SOTW. What an amazing weight loss, what changes did you make last week?
I'm not in a very good mood this morning. I put some large items of furniture on ebay last week - some of them sold and they ended on Saturday, but it's now Thursday and the buyers still haven't made arrangements to collect them. Time is running out - we're moving out on Tuesday and if they're timewasters I won't have enough time to make a second chance offer and arrange collection before then - grrrrr....!
Anyway, back to sorting and packing.
Have a good week everyone.

Thank you Fredsnail for SOTW. I do feel like a bit of a fraud though cos I've only lost the 5lb I had gained over February. I dont know why I gained as I was being quite good most of the time, out with the dog loads, just not getting to the gym too often. The only real change this week has been 2 fast days on the 5:2 diet that Jess has been doing. I'm not even sure if I am doing it right.
I have been having fast days on Monday and Thursdays, so today is my 3rd one. I have 500 calories on fast days and 1900-2000 every other day. Just finding it really managable on fast days when I know next day I can enjoy treats. Previosly I was just doing myfitnesspal with 1500 cals a day. This works out roughly same amount of cals over a week but can eat slightly more on 'normal' days. Still tracking it all on myfitnesspal app.DFW Nerd 1394.

Hey Guys,
Fab loss Frodo!
Sounds like a lot of people are doing pretty well at the mo! :j
Well, I lost the plot a little last week. Was trying really hard with the diet and exercising loads but wasn't getting anywhere, so I had a paddy and gave up, lol!
I seem to be back on track now, weighed in this morning and had lost a couple of pounds :j (will give a grand total next Wed for the chart) which has really motivated me. Fingers crossed it continues! Ordered some trainers as I'm exercising a lot now (on the Wii and exercise DVDs) and I know it's probably not good for me to do it without proper footwear. They came today, but they're not as nice as they looked online so will be sending them back, and will nip somewhere this afternoon as I don't want to wait any longer!
Diet wise, just counting cals at the moment and sticking to lower carb foods as usual. Food is a bit of a sore subject at the mo as DS1 has been referred to the hospital for a possible food intolerance. Add that to... my diet, his Type 1 Diabetes, and my other son's lactose intolerance, and I'm pretty much sick of thinking about food right now!

Well done efrieze - that's a great total loss, how much more do you want to lose?
Aiming for the full century (again! doh!) !!!!
Incidentally, Whilst I am still doing the same thing I have always done diet wise (low ish carb, sensible eating etc), I am also tending towards the 5:2 diet in that the two nights before weigh in, I don't eat any dinner. The reason for this is simply so that when I do weigh in, it is a genuine weight and not skewed by having eaten a very heavy meal the night before. I can gain 6lbs after eating a big meal and its not a real gain. So the only way I can be sure to get rid of unnatural variances in my weight is to ensure I really only eat what I need the two days prior to weigh in. It sort of also fits the 5:2 diet though. And it's working for me.
For those with a lot to lose, I do have other wisdom to impart (!) I have just reached the 3 stone milestone. Until about 5 lbs ago, I didn't really feel like I looked much different, but suddenly I am in a new dress size (well trousers but you know what I mean) and I am fitting in to (one of) my old set of clothes. Suddenly, what feels likes overnight, you notice the difference. I am sharing this for anyone who has a long road ahead and feels like its not really making any difference.
I have lost and gained several stone many times in my life so I know what thin feels like (and it does feel good). Another 3-4 stone to go!
Hope that helps someone.0 -
Happy to join shamrock, thanks Fred.0
