I haven't been on this thread before but you seem a friendly bunch:D
I'm on the 5:2 diet. I hope this is a diet for life as it seems sensible, suits me and is working so far. However, I've been on so many diets - I find it easy to lose weight but I also put it back on easily- that I've got cynical about them all.
This time however, my OH is doing it too and that helps a lot. We shall see.
The reason for posting is to find out what weighing scales you use. (Weighing me, not food!) I don't mind spending a bit but would like one that measures body fat etc and be easy to read.
Thanks if you can help and keep up the good work.
welcomeI'm relatively new here too
I have just bought a set of Salter analyser scales, they seem very good, do the body fat calcs etc, and allow up to 12 settings. They were £20, which considering I was shoving £1 a time in the scales at the gym, seems quite reasonable to me. They have a guarantee for 15 years, so better not lose the receipt!!Getting fit for 2013 - Starting weight 10.1.13 88.1kg

Fred - a -1 lb loss for me this week. I have done my usual classes, but not counting these towards the challenge so just a 3 mile walk to add please. I am not doing very well at training for my 5k - just had an email saying just 6 weeks to go, so I really do need to get my act together. Fred, have you started the C25K?0

Good news - have lost 1lb this week!
Bad news - my cold/virus has gone to my chest and I've got to take the rest of the week off, take antibiotics and rest up so no exercise for me for a while! Oh dear0 -

Hi,
Since last Wednesday, my foot injury is hopefully slowly healing but maybe a few weeks more before all the symptoms have gone. However, I did motivate myself to try the outdoor bike which has gradually become easier. Also, still using the indoor bike. So feeling under par but keeping interested in improving health in various ways.
Hope everybody else are keeping well.
For the chart please fredsnail -2lbs.0 -

Jeez, I'm doing spectacularly badly this time around. Will try harder next week.... after we've been out to dinner tonight
Well done everyone else, who's bound to have done far better than me.One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
