Can't believe how many people here cling to decimal points so much when weighing themselves. I'm trying to lose 50lbs which is probably a bit more than a lot of people here but just round it up. If the scales said '.6' I'd just round it up a pound. A single pound can come and go pretty easily so those decimals could change by the next morning or evening.

Everyone's different - many people on here are trying to lose more than you - and the people who post on here try to encourage and support each other. It's a long process and it makes it easier if people are supportive rather than critical or patronising.

We all know what we should be doing to lose weight - but life gets in the way and we're human. We do things wrong, make mistakes, or get distracted and most often we're our own harshest critics so we don't need strangers to make us feel more of a failure or more guilty.

Ultimately we're all here for the same reason, however long it takes and that can only be a good thing.

    Hi all

Fred - 1lb off this week please. Nothing in the way of exercise, I've been hibernating (I hate snow).

Beanie - sewing really isn't difficult, why don't you do a needlework course? They're often available through colleges and you might be able to do it free. It could lead to a great new hobby. You're not alone in not being able to sew on a button though - I used to work with a man who lived on his own, and would throw a shirt away if a button fell off. :rotfl:

    Catch you later.

  • Kind of off topic, but I am watching 42stone mum on discovery - OMG - as they show film of the woman shovelling plate after plate of fatty food into her mouth, and she says 'if I knew what was making me fat I'd stop'. Feel so sorry for her kids who are her carers :-(

    Hi everybody,

Thanks for the charts and "well done". Good results by the SOTWs.
Roads still unsafe so probably just the indoor exercise bike until then.

    Good luck.
  • I went to an exercise class at the gym for the first time in years yesterday, and I actually quite enjoyed it! So much so, I have booked in for a proper gym induction on Monday...eeek!! Well, I pay for it, but usually only go swimming, so time to make use of my £'s to get rid of my lbs!! Wish me luck :-)

So pleased with that llb as the week didn't start off too good with me eating sweets and other rubbish. Feel much better after I've exercised so will keep doing that even if its the only thing I do in a week!

-1 lb for me this week! :j Should be expecting some good results soon as I've been challenged by the IT department at work to lose a stone by Easter and they'll lose one too. Time to get my butt in gear!
