    Hope everyone is well.

I knew it was going to be bad but didn't think would be quite that bad. Anyway facing the music now, back on track today for eating and exercise.

Can u please put me down for everything this month Fredsnail?

  • Can I 'join' here (in other words just paste occasionally) without being counted into a team, or is there a more appropriate thread? I'm not weighing myself as I don't want to get hung up on the scales, but I've set myself a certain amount of exercise a week, and I m trying to eat healthily in the hope I can drop a couple of dress sizes.

If there is a more appropriate thread please let me know. Just want to post somewhere for the moral support, really.

Good luck, everyone, with your goals!

We only got back yesterday evening, I didn't take my scales with me so wasn't able to weigh yesterday morning, but 68.5 kg today. Weight is sticking more or less around that point.

I'm going for reduction mammoplasty on the 19th so I may weigh a few kg less with smaller boobs! Hopefully going from GG to A/B.

    Hi guys,

Well I started the 5/2 (5:2) diet today. The idea is to fast for 2 days a week, but on the fasting days you can have upto 500 cals a day, so it's not actually that dramatic, lol. As it's only for short periods there's no risk of going into starvation mode, and you can eat whatever you want on the other days - which is fab! :j. The bonus is that when you get used to eating a lot less on the fast days, you naturally start eating less on the other days too :D
I have to admit, it does sound a little faddy, but if you read up on it there are lots of other health benefits, and it's got a lot of science behind it - which is always good.

I've found that you can actually eat quite a lot of food for 500 cals! So far I've had one of those extra large cans of Big soup, which is really filling, one of the kids' apple and grape bags, and a sugar free energy drink (15 cals), lol. I've then got another fruit bag to have with a 150g tub of red pesto cottage cheese later, and a whole 26 cals left to play with! Decisions decisions ;)

I love the idea of the part time diet, I just hope that I can get through tonight as I do tend to get very hungry in the evening if I've not eaten much in the day. It hasn't been too bad otherwise, so if I can stick to it it'll seem very do-able and should get easier the longer I do it.

Was going to get on the bike tonight but I figure I'm probably better leaving it until tomorrow as I probably won't have much energy to spare, lol. Going to do 20 mins on the power plate instead as I really do need to get back into it. It doesn't seem to do much at the time but my fitness levels really did improve when I got into the routine of doing it everyday.

Next week is a clean slate and only you can change things.

Fred - My total weight loss for 2012 ended up being 28lbs, which is also my target for 2013, so I'd like to start with a clean slate please - can you reset my total to zero please?

I take back everything I said, this is torture! Lol, it's getting difficult now. May have to have a tiny nibble then spend the rest of the evening on the bike!

Determined to do it. I know the hunger will pass soon, and that it will all be so much easier next time (Monday), but it's soooo not fun at the moment... hence the new signature wording, lol.
