Well done Fredsnail and Efrieze :T:T:T

Still eating far to much, but at least I am back exercising. 1 1/2 hours walking and 1 hour Spinning today please Fred. Going to try to fit as much as I can in before I go away for a few days next week.

Lois - nothing planned for the New Year so far, will probably just see it in at home with the OH.

    Hiya

OH and I walked into town yesterday and today the fronts of my shins ache so much my feet feel really heavy! I can only think the shoes I was wearing have caused it as I've walked that far before without any side affects. (Whatever happened to the shrugging smiley...?)

Fred - for the exercise log it was 3 miles.

Had a proper lazy day today - got up at 10 o'clock, had a long soak in the bath, then settled down in front of the tv after lunch. It's been raining again and hardly seemed to get light all day.

Anyone decided on their new year resolutions yet?

I always want to lose weight, eat healthily, drink less, and get more exercise but I'm trying to think of something original to add to the list.

Lois - I am toying with the idea of giving up wheat, but not sure whether I could do it :o I don't eat bread or cereal now and feel so much better for it (used to suffer lots of upset stomachs) Giving up wheat would also mean no cakes, biscuits, etc, so presumably would help me to lose weight.

Would also like to learn ballroom dancing, so might add that to my resolutions.:)

Hello! I hope you have all had a lovely christmas :)

My christmas has been mixed, my contraceptive implant has left me with depression and thoughts i never thought i'd think of in my life, but thankfully some lovely ladies stayed behind after work to take it out. I'm slowly getting back to normal and can now cope with everyday life and have a smile back on my face :D

New years resolutions need some thought... I'm thinking the management of money has to be high on the agenda as we hope to buy a house in 2013, and broody vicki is a regular daily feeling!

Jess: i think i might try to cut out some myself. I don't like cakes or biscuits but bread/cereal would be hard!

Hi Aylithuk - you're very welcome to join us on the thread, good luck with reaching your target.

Vix - that sounds nasty, I didn't realise you could get side effects like that. Not as bad as the side effects of not using contraception though - much longer lasting, the first 25 years are the worst, and then you just hope they've left home for good... :rotfl:

    Hi Guys! :hello:

Can I join you? Pretty please, lol! Determined to do it this time, and what better time to start than New Year! Not sure what approach to take this time but thinking of cutting out bread (and anything 'bread related') for a start, and just generally trying to eat less!

I managed to lose 8 lbs in the month before Xmas, so pretty motivated from that. I also managed to put 6 back on over the last few days  but hoping they won't stay long!

What does everyone think about popcorn? Homemade, air popped? I bought a popcorn maker a few weeks ago and it is fab! But I don't really know much about popcorn kernels - are they good like grains, or bad like bread? I don't fancy eating loads to find out myself, lol, and different websites seem to have different opinions.
