Oops, mistake, that should read 67.9 kg this morning. But it has been as high as 69.3 in recent weeks.

  • I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one to rejoin. I too just seemed to take my eye off the ball for a short while but by then the damage was done! A holiday in Madeira and a few days in Knaresborough didn't help either:whistle:.

I've just realised that I didn't weigh myself this morning to get my starting weight so I'll do that tomorrow and face the grim reality then. When I last weighed myself 3 weeks ago I needed to lose about 20lbs but despite trying to follow my old regime I couldn't seem to get back into the flow of things, hence my return here for support (although I'm wondering if it's wise to join when the festive season is just around the corner, oh well at least it'll make me be a bit more responsible and not delaying the inevitable).

I shall do the usual calorie counting and hopefully I will be my old trim self in next to no time :).

Lois nice to hear from you, I remember that you had great results following SW before so let's both hope that we can climb back on the wagon. Beanie thanks to you too for your lovely post.

Well, good luck to all my friends here both old and new. You'll find that I tend to rattle on a bit but at least I'm not eating.

The first day always seems to be the hardest for me so I'm going to bury my head in a book to take my mind off things.

    xxxx
I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

Petrichor, what happened in Knaresborough? My old school is still there (I think) - King James's.

    Evening all

Fred - STS again here. Can you record 1 hour of linedancing and 1 hour of aquarobics please.

    Welcome back Margaretclare. :)

Jess - I had a similar experience when I found a diary from 4 years ago that I'd jotted weight losses in the back, and my starting weight was the same as I am now. :o

The plus side is that we're all trying to keep our weight under control, with varying degrees of success, but the alternative would be gradually getting bigger and bigger until we can't get out of our chairs!

    Back soon,

    LL :)

  • Another STS for me this week, seem to be losing my motivation, partly because I am always in work, 8-8 monday 8am til 11pm yesterday, 8-6 today, not been to gym for weeks! Getting really fed up!

It's great to see the thread getting busy again. Petrichor, I put on 10 lb when I visited Madiera in May and I am still trying to get rid of it. I was really surprised as I seemed to live on fish and salad - and walking up all of those hills must have burned some calories!!

Lois and Beanie - you are both right, I mustn't get disheartened. Feeling more positive today. I might weigh the same as last year; but I know I am thinner, people keep telling me how well I look and my blood pressure is down to normal. Onward and upwards :)

-1lb loss this week for me please Fred :j and 1 hour Boxercise this evening.
Good luck with the weight loss this week everyone.

Froddo - those shifts sound awful  I find it difficult enough getting to the gym when I work 9-5 so I am not surprised you are unable to get there. Do you always do such long shifts or is it just a busy time of year?
