1 hour boxercise for me tonight. Took all of my will power to get myself out in the wind and the rain to get there, but really enjoyed it (in a perverse sort of way) when I was there.

Going to aim for 5 hours this week - Christmas is coming I need to up my game.:)
  • Hi Lovely Peeps

I used to be here on this thread many years ago (I think I started in LW9 :embarasse) and it was brilliant for me as I lost a lovely lot of weight with no difficulty thanks to the support to be had here. The loss was maintained for a few years :j.

Needless to say I have gained some weight for which I blame entirely on Mr P since he took early retirement and I no longer walk everywhere but get driven everywhere!!!

I have browsed through a few pages and note that there are still a few of my old friends still here (Beanie, Lois, Vix [still refer to your bra sizing post ;) Vix] and no doubt a few others), I will delve further in the meantime.

So let me rejoin, please, please. I will, obviously, be the oldest member here but I need your help as I will not be the wisest:)

    xxxx
I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

    Hi all

Petrichor! Welcome back! :D This is so spooky - I was thinking about you just the other day when I saw one of your postings on the recipes thread. Nice to see you. :kisses3:

I decided to try something new this week, I'm doing Slimming World again, Extra Easy to be specific. It's taken me a little while to get my head round it as there's no restriction where protein and carbs are concerned so I can have as much meat and potatoes, chilli and rice, and spaghetti bolognese as I like, but I can only have bread or cereals, not both. I've had fruit and yogurt for breakfast for 2 days so I could have bread for lunch. Weigh in tomorrow, but probably a bit too early to expect any miracles!

Good luck to everyone still to weigh in.

Well and truly depressed myself this morning. Clearing out a cupboard and came across the card I used to record my weight on this time last year. Basically my weight has gone up and down all year - but I weight exactly the same this Nov as last Nov. So despite all of the exercise and healthy eating all I have achieved is to be really good at maintaining my weight.

I'd like to come back, please.

I need to get serious again about losing weight. Since early October my weight started creeping up, and up...at one stage it was up to 69.3 kg, then started coming back down a week-10 days ago, now 68.9 kg, which is 0.7 kg less than last Wednesday. I think I took my eye off the ball a bit.

What DH and I are finding nowadays is that we don't need evening dinner, and that may explain why I've put on weight absolutely every time we've gone on holiday, even a 'short break'. If we have a good breakfast and then lunch quite late, I really do not feel like eating much for the rest of the day at all.

I've done almost every so-called 'diet' ever invented, but nowadays I go by how I feel. On Sunday, for instance, it was such a lovely day although breezy, we were out in the car. We'd had porridge for breakfast with creme fraiche and I was really full. He started going 'low', blood-glucose down, maybe gave himself too much insulin. So we stopped at the next Little Chef we came to on the A12. He had gammon, egg and chips. I really didn't want a lot at all, so I had a bowl of soup and then 3 scoops of vanilla ice-cream. The people in Little Chef didn't bat an eyelid - you have what you want there! I didn't have very much even when we got home, and I wasn't hungry at all. That porridge seemed to hold me down for ages. If I don't feel like eating, I don't eat.

I'm seeing a cosmetic surgeon on 8th December, a 10-minute free consultation, my boobs must weigh a few pounds on their own!! I don't want him telling me 'oh, lose more weight'. I know that!
