  • Wouldn't mind poking my head round the door here. I would like to lose a stone but have no real time frame at the moment....
    Will keep peeps updated :D
Everyone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!?
  • Hi all :D

Just thought I'd pop my head in and see how you are doing. I have been trying to keep up with your posts but have to admit I have not been around as much as I thought. Nice to see you are all doing well and keeping up with your challenges.

My life is a little up and down still but I was a Games Maker for the Paralympic games and managed to loose 15lb whilst doing that but mainly due to running around and being so busy I hardly ate anything for 2 weeks! But sorry to say 7lb of that has slowly gone back on :(
I am finally back running after my car accident and have now also started Roller skating 2x / week which is great fun and like going back to my childhood.
We thought back in August we were going to loose my mum but thanks to the wonders of modern medicine she is still doing ok, not great but ok. So I'm quite happy with my weight right now ( I never thought I'd ever say that ) But after christmas I might need to come back and join you :rotfl:

    Take care everyone

Fred you are still a Star :A

    Hi all

Well done Durham_min for SOTW and SOTM. :T It's purely down to your efforts that I've ended up in the winning USA team. :D

Thanks for the chart Fred and for all your work collecting our data for all the challenges!
I'm up for the challenge for this month, and I'll join the 'none' pets team.

Its a sts this week, not surprising after the success of last week.

    Exercise: Callanetics 1hr 45 mins
    Weight loss 0/2st
    Inch loss = 0"

    Slow & Steady 3
  • If you have been into a habit of starting your day with tea or coffee, you must stop it right away. Instead start your day with a glass of warm water, lime juice and honey. It would not only help you lose a few inches but would also add a natural glow to your skin over time.
The diet for weight loss should include all the vital nutrients required by your body. Dieting does not mean starving yourself or taking out any source of carbohydrates and fats from your diet. While you plan your diet, keep in mind that carbohydrates and fats are vital to a healthy functioning of the human body. While it is all right to cut down the levels of carbohydrates and fats in your diet, you must never think of dropping them out from your meals.

1 and a half hours dog walking over the weekend and 1 hour Bodypump this morning. Not sure how this relates to the challenge which is distance, but I know you always have a way of working this out Fred?

OH is away for a few days, so there is no excuse not to eat healthily as I only have myself to buy for. Have been experimenting with celeriac, which is really tasty and lower in carbs than potato.

Nice to see you popping back Alliwant..it sounds like you have been having a busy time of it. It is good to hear that you are happy with your weight :T :THopefully Christmas won't cause too much damage.

    - 1.75 lb for me this week please Fred. It is so good to be in 'whole numbers' for a change. :)

45 min Spin this morning before work. I am really beginning to enjoy the exercise, but totally fed up of washing my hair everyday ;) Very tempted to get it all cut off and be done with it.

I read in a magazine recently the secret to keeping the exercise going through the winter months is to 'Act not Think'. I am trying to keep this in mind as I am the world worst at putting things off, especially when it is cold and nasty outside.

Good luck with the weight loss this week everyone.

    Morning all

Fred - STS for me this week. Please count me in for the 5lb challenge - I'm determined it's going to happen this month.

Jess - I like the 'act not think' idea, especially with outdoor activities which I tend to be very much of a fair weather person. What I need to do is just make up my mind to go out and do something and not let bad weather put me off.

    Good luck for everyone's weigh-ins.
