As I probably mentioned before, I am on the 5:2 fasting diet, and it's going pretty well (6lbs in 3 weeks). Problem is, I'm getting into a rut. I've been sticking to Weightwatchers meals, because it gives me the calories per meal, on the box. I recently bought a bag of mixed salad from Heron foods, but although it gives me the contents of the packet (one of which is endives, which I've never had before), there is no nutritional information. I'm not vegetarian, but do enjoy a good salad. How do you know, when making up your own salad, how many calories are going into it? I'm not fussy with salads, I love most things, radishes, celery etc. I drawn the line at olives though.

    Hi Robm

When I first read your message I didn't know what you meant by the 5:2 fasting diet so I looked it up, and now I'm wondering why you need to count calories at all. My understanding is that you spend 2 days a week fasting, which means you can eat normally for the other 5 days.

    Is that what you're doing?

fredsnail, thanks for the charts and your "congrats". I've done more indoor cycling hours for the moon challenge but I'll send the total on Wednesday. Also, been doing my usual outdoor cycling errands which are quite taxing.

    Hi all

I'm feeling a bit more positive today and back on track, that 3lb gain will soon be gone. I'm thinking of joining Rosemary Conley as there's a new class started up near me, which includes a session of keep fit. I'm still feeling the effects of the Pilates on Wednesday - my stomach muscles have been really sore!

I'm also celebrating the arrival of my second grandchild today - my baby boy now has a baby boy of his own and I'm looking forward to meeting the new arrival tomorrow.

    Enjoy the weekend.
