I did try deep fried bounty crunchie and milkyway but its wasnt great."Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone, and do not be troubled about the future, for it has yet to come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering"0 -
Yep Tesco ones are Frozen!
Never tried a KK...Hmm souund yummy though!:wall:Crazy Nutters Club Member 003 :wall:0 -
KK are great, but from my experience, people who like traditional 'jam doughnuts' don't like these as much. But when I buy them, they are always very fresh. The originals are my fave, but my OH loves the Lemon filled, so it is all about taste.
Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but in my local KK, if you buy 12 mixed you get 12 original free. Well worth doing if you want to test out all the flavours, and they freeze great, so you can have one every day!!0 -

Edit: I rang Krispi Kreme today to check I was putting accurate information online about the trans fat content of each KK and they have rung back to confirm I'm right. The good news is that they currently have a UK transfat free/reduced trial ongoing in a secret UK location, an announcement about this may be made after a couple of months it the trials work out OK, so I'll be checking up on them.

My Krispy Kreme story...
I watched Chris Rock once talk about Krispy Kreme doughnuts in his stand up...so I googled it and the pictures of these dougnuts were amazing! I thought to myself, 'I got's to get me some!'
So I looked round town asking 'Where are the Krispy Kreme doughnuts'...because I heard they had come to England. No-one knew where they were, and you know why, cos they don't bloody sell them in Wolverhampton! All the effort scouring the town center, with no result. This was a low down in my life, but not the lowest.
So I searched the Krispy Kreme website and saw the nearest one was outside my means of travel...I'm talking miles and miles and miles and...
That was the day Krispy Kreme dougnuts died in my heart. This was the lowest day of my life.
But fear not, this thread has breathed life into my hunt for the Krispy Kreme doughnut...I will walk to London and scoff an army of the bleeders, even if it kills me...as that will probably be the happiest day of my life.0 -
I tried the creme filled one with the chocolate top (I think it was trying to be an eclair..) and I wasn't impressed at all0

I've never been a fan of jam doghnuts but.... once I tried the KK sort I was won over in a mouthful
I too like the lemon filled ones, but but have only ever had about 4 and all for special occasions. Tesco round here sell them too, although we have a shop in Oxford city.

Who here says they want to eat KK every day? And if there is no safe limit why have a petition to limit them not ban them?
It's no wonder the NHS is going bust with folks like you hell bent on self destruction. We've put in place a smoking ban to try to preserve the weak willed from the results of their own folly, we now need a Trans fat petition to do the same to curb the suicidal tendencies of the trans fat junkies.

Thanks for your concern over my health and my search for the KK doughnut;)
However, I will enjoy my KK when I visit London and a nice cig after it. Then I shall drink stupid amounts of alcohol and dance my little feet off.
It is called having a life!
If I take 5 years off my life because of this then so what? I'd rather die at 95 having had a great time than die at 100 feeling I'd missed something
Sometimes you just got to live a little ... try a KK doughnut Ted, you never know, you might find you enjoy it :T0
