It is a well known scientific fact that dirty dishes and the contents of their bedroom are actually invisible to the teenage eye. Light bends around piles of washing and ironing and a teenager that is prone to falling over their own feet can safely navigate the carnage in their room without stepping on or tripping over anything while holding a drink in one hand and texting with the other.

    Arrrgggghhhhhh flamin kids !!!!!
I got home tonight to a kitchen full of mess , every cup , glass , plate etc etc all dirty !!! But not even scraped or rinsed ??!!
A pile of rubbish 'on' the worktop .... When I asked why the answer I got was "because the bin was full" - words fail me tbh.

So - I served their dinner on paper plates , with plastic cutlery and glasses. When I had bits to put in the bin, I took it upstairs & put it in the eldests bedroom bin - childish but very satisfying :D
I went out to get milk / when I got back .... It was all cleared up & it'd been very quiet since !!!!

I have learnt with my two that shouting does nothing - but , they detest being ignored. Let's see what happens when I get home tomorrow ! :)

2 surveys at lunchtime , .97p in rounding account & meals as planned.

Been thinking about sept - I need to be super strict & watch every penny. Birthdays , new uniform etc etc. So starting today - have gone back to my spending diary. I need to micro manage this now and a spending diary is the only way. And I need to go back to checking bank every morning & every evening. I have done well with cutting back BUT there is still to much of £3 here & £5 there......

Off for a cuppa & sort some washing.

Well I did it - I went to Aldi at lunchtime :T

Bit of a look around. Fruit & veg looked really nice & fresh & cold meat and fresh meat looked good too !

    I spent £12.26 and got

    A pineapple
    Punnet strawberries
    Punnet grapes
    Bottle lemonade
    Carton apple juice
    Carton orange juice
    2 bags sweets
    Tin tomatoes and tomato puree
    & tray chicken breasts
    Box smooth yoghurts

I was quite pleased with that :) the speed at which it came off the checkout was scary !!!! But all in all it was ok.
I compared it to last weeks Mr T receipt & I reckon I saved about £2.00. So I reckon with some planning (& trial & error) I could save about £15 a week ..... I will go again over the weekend when I have more time !

No lunch break so no surveys today. 81p to rounding acct and meals as planned!

Much less mess to come home to tonight & no arguing boys ..... Yet !

    Excellent news.

I find that trial and error is the best way at Aldi and keep an eye on the offers at Tesco. At the moment tinned tomatoes are better value in my Tesco but it changes weekly.

Try the Aldi sauces, ketchup, brown sauce, mayo, mustard etc. I rather like them but i know some people who prefer other brands.

Also the chocolate is rather good, my girlfriend swears by it. Personally I can take chocolate or leave it. :)
