    Finally Saturday!
£200 left in Groceries (easy especially if I stick to Ald!)
    £79 left in spends
£40 in Fuel and £40 Electric
    Should all be fine
I have found a couple of (never worn) items I could list on eba* so might look into that this weekend, both still have labels on and both expensive items so would be worth doing.
Another day of housework and washing beckons!

  • I'm such a fan of Aldi - I actually get grumpy if I have to go to another store and pay their prices. I also regularly use FarmFoods to stock up on a few things like branded baked beans and tomato soup, two things that we have tried the alternatives but prefer the brand, and their huge packs of toilet roll 4x18pack for £10. If you have the space, and a FarmFoods, then these are worth working into your rotation of stores.

  • You seem to have it all under control. Have you used the snowball calculator for your DFD? I found it inspired me to see the date getting nearer as I made tweaks and overpayments, because it can get to be a boring slog especially mid-month.
I’m glad you think your Aldi shop was a bargain; it reminded me how much I save by not buying meat when my son is away! I can do shopping for only me for £15 a week for fruit, veg, instant cappuccino and other odd bits. Then I batch cook curry, dhal, ratatouille, soup and smoothies to freeze. The simple life!

Wow!  Just read the first 60+ pages, then decided to jump to the end, just to see if it was a 'happily ever after' result.  Well done!

Fingers crossed indeed.  And pleased to see that you are an Aldi convert.  We're very definitely carnivores, and like the fact that Aldi meat is all UK sourced, despite having a foreign owner.  The same can't be said for Tesco or Sainsbury.

  • I have read your whole diary over the last few days. What strikes me is that you continue to be such a warm person whatever life throws at you. I'm sure you will get that last little bit paid off - imagine how light and free you will feel!
A couple of pages back you said you regretted trying to hang on to your house for 2 years - maybe you needed to do that to prove you had done everything you could? Just a little thought.
Anyway, well done on your amazing progress!

Ah thank you , what a nice message 😊
Its a good job I love a challenge, thats all I seem to have had the last few years!
Its going to be strange once the last bit is paid off, as it feels like money has been my only focus over the last few years!
Strange, but I'm looking forward to it
    Thanks again

Oh, I admit I forgot about the 0%, even so, that part only dictates the order for repayment. Once you have the first date of when it will be 100% paid; any little tweaks like rounding up payments, survey payments or special offer discounts sent to the debt would bring the DFD date forward. I just wondered if each time you chopped off a month it would give you a little satisfaction?
