There is some careful planning that I just can't do though. £5.00 off baileys is a great deal ..... Unless you crack it open 2 months early that is :)

Currently £9/ litre in Morrison's and I understand the Aldi own brand is also very good ;)
    Mortgage Outstanding Nov '16 £142,772.75
Mortgage Additional OPs 2017 Target £4522.80/ Actual £865.00
    GC Feb 0/£200
  • that's great news , you have done well! especially the loan.

the aldi baileys is ok, but I prefer the real thing-wonder who is doing the best price?? :)

  • Hi CoCo, glad to see you are still at it.
Just read the last page (I haven't been around for a while - my son was diagnosed with cancerous brain tumour in july so we've been a bit busy!)

Regarding HMRC - have you sorted that out? I pay £10 a month following an over payment years ago, and have got another 2 years to keep paying. But its interest free, and they haven't asked me to increase the payments..... so it keeps coming out of my account.

Money's going to be tight here next few months - now my boy's having radiotherapy daily for seven weeks, so I cant go to work even if I wanted to, as its been a four hour round trip every day this week (week 1), with appointment times between 9am and 2pm each day. But he's claimed Employment support allowance so we can get petrol refunded, which will help, and free parking at the hospital.

Looking forward to Friday, then I can have a lie in Saturday, so perhaps a beer or 2...
:hello: The grass is not greener, it just looks that way from a distance :hello:

Imdebtfree , sorry to hear your news , sounds like you are having a tough time at the moment. I hope the treatment goes as well as it can. Things like that do put things into perspective x

Not a lot to report here. Did a big shop yesterday & Mr T as I had 2 x £5 off vouchers so split my shop to use these. Will be back to Aldi next week though ! Need to catch up around here today a bit.
Paperwork has got a bit out of control and there is defiantly something in my fridge that shouldn't be there :)

Next small (quite big ) bill that needs sorting £524.... Will give it some thought.

Right shower and get on with it - back later.

    Happy Sunday All !!!

    And another week done ......

Been a busy one , and expensive! Have a car problem that I need to sort out - it's either going to be an £11.99 job or a £200 one - fingers crossed because I just don't have the money. But, as I do a lot of miles to work and back, I need to get it done .... Watch this space.

I got the school uniform sorted - not too many £££ so hopefully that will last him for a few months. I have officially banned youngest from growing - it's just not funny any more :rotfl:

House wise - still a mess but still hanging in there. I bluffed it out with the mortgage reserve overdraft - said they could have £50 a month or do their worst ....... They have been ok about it - I don't imagine they really want to repossess for £500 odd.... But let's see ! Just another debt to keep chipping away at I guess!

How much have groceries gone up ??!! It's ridiculous !!! I know I could be organised better so not popping in for bits & pieces (that adds up) I just need to get some energy together. I can feel the winter blues kicking in so it's especially hard to find the energy but I need to do it. Maybe some exercise will help ??!! I am very slim but very unfit so maybe that will energise me :)

So .... Back to rounding down on bank account - organising my cupboards / shopping better and making use of my slow cooker. I need to save some money somehow!

    Hope everyone is well.

2nd cup of tea, then on with the new organised me!

Hope the car is the £11.99 quote.

Do you have a L*d* nearby as they have some really good fresh items and I have found they are reasonably priced.

Luckily the £11.99 sorted the immediate problem.... But it has made me realise that I can't cope with money emergencies so I need to start stashing away a little emergency money again.

I do have a little in the town where I work , I also like al!i it's just organising myself to get there! All I seem to do when I get in from work is collapse in a heap and never get anything done. Organising tips will be much appreciated !!! :)

    Weekend again !!
This week has flown by - and a restful weekend ahead (well that's the plan at least :)

Sun is streaming in this morning but , boy , it makes me realise how messy and grubby my house is looking! Try and crack on this weekend. That's the only good thing about winter - I only see my house in darkness during the week so I can't see how grubby it is :rotfl:

A week till payday and I have £90 left although £40 of that will be petrol .... Not too bad I suppose.

    This wknd I need to

    Dig out some paperwork
    Clean car
    Give grass final cut
Sort play list on iPod for running
    Go running !
    HOUSEWORK !!!!!!!!!!!!

That should keep me busy! Also need to make some flapjacks and maybe some brownies. Was going to al!i yesterday but something else came up so I didn't get there. Did a mini shop @ Mr M which is normally not too bad but I spent £50 and don't seem to have got a lot??! But , cupboards are full so I might just manage with what we have apart from getting a chicken for tomorrow.

People were talking about Christmas at work yesterday and I can't believe how much they spend ! I am only allowing £50 plus the turkey this year , that's plenty for a ham and some nibbles. It's mad the amount people buy. I can remember the days I used to spend £250 on a Christmas shop !!!!! And still have sweets etc left in March .... Not anymore ! :)

Have been putting a little back for boys main present so that's sorted!

    Right must get on x
