Speechless ........ Was pottering upstairs for ages when I realised how quiet it was so I went to investigate , eldest on play station with a couple of friends , youngest over park playing football with friends , Ex ..... Asleep on sofa !!!!!! I am totally speechless :) in fact I can't help but laugh ??!!!!
So I am now going to Hoover right through - starting in my sitting room next to the sofa , childish I know but anyway :)
This afternoon is dragging ..... I am delaying gping to supermarket until he has gone otherwise he always asks me to pick him up something as "your going anyway" !
Going to watch a DVD with kids after dinner then, make a start - am going to put all his paperwork in a big box so he can pick it up next week , or I will shred it . Up to him.
Oh & I must do a meal planner as well.
    Lots to do !

Definitely a situation where "don't get mad, get even" applies!

Just found your diary and read from the start. You're doing really well.

Your post yesterday (quote above) made me LOL. Good job I'm on my own this morning. DH at work until about 11 this morning.

Keep up the good work. You'll feel better once everything is under control.

Sorting it all is a slow process tho .... But I would probably get there quicker if I stopped spending so much time in here reading !!! Tho it really does help.

A little more to make you all laugh ....
Just sat & had tea & toast with youngest and he says " I don't know why Dad bothers sometimes to come out - all he does is play on his phone or snooze "
Now, regardless if how I feel - I don't like to hear them criticise their Dad so I say, come on mate dad works hard, then he has to go home & cook and clean etc - so he looks at me for a while ..... Then says "no he doesn't , the kitchen at work make an evening meal so he doesn't have to & he has a cleaner":rotfl:
Words fail me tbh !!! But it just goes to show that my being pleasant & nice and not hearing them say unkind things about him has paid off, they have worked out how lazy he is for themselves ..
    Love my kids :)

PS - I need to stop this I am beginning to not like myself but it's making me laugh !!!

Just read your thread Coco and wanted to wish you well. Sounds like you have all the characteristics to get everything turned around. Good luck and best wishes on this.

Did I miss a list of your debts with APRs and which are joint and which are solo? Was wondering if the ones you have jointly are now at least fixed so they can't increase due to your ex's spending?

    Hi Redcar
No you didn't miss it - am going through paperwork cupboard to try to work out exactly how bad it is - once I have info I will post on here.
In fairness to Ex , he gave me all jt acct cards / cheque books & credit cards to destroy when he left so, whilst he isn't paying anything towards debt , at least he isn't adding to it :)
Any spending he is doing is from his salary & none of my concern.

I am annoyed with myself for taking so long to go through this cupboard & I probably won't get through it all today , I have to get it done. All well & good having a budget & cutting back - I know that I need to know the full extent of debt so I can start making inroads into it , however small they may be :)

Phew that is good on the joint spends.

Well don't want to take you away from the cupboard again! As you say knowledge is power!!

Have my own pile of paperwork to sort through so you've given me the encouragment to just get on and tackle it as I've been putting off having the tidy-up by reading threads!
