Had a walk with OH & the Dog, she was so muddy, we had to hose her down in the back before she could come in. Im glad I put a blanket down on the back seat of my car for her. Im dreading the smell tomorrow.
Had dinner, then a snooze, just ironed the uniforms for work/school tomorrow.
Listed some things on ebay, my toppers I make for card making. Its a card makers cheats, by buying the toppers and then just stick on a card of your choice, along with a greeting, and there you have - a card in seconds! I sell plenty.

Crazychick - your card making sounds lovely - maybe I should commission you for a special 60th card for DH. When DD married just over two years ago we dealt with a really nice lady on the internet who made us beautiful invitations, place setting cards and wedding album. We sent colour samples and she really came up trumps. Felt she was my friend by the end of it all. Also the same with our internet lady we bought wedding favours from. She went out of her way to send us rosebud samples so they would match our colour scheme. Was a bit apprehensive about doing all on line but it certainly was worth it - I suppose after all these people would want our recommendation which I gladly gave.
Love GB
PS you sound a bit brighter today! Hope all goes well. No doubt letter delivered tomorrow so you will let us know how things pan out.0 -
Crazychik just had to clean and febreeze my car, it was honking off the dogs. Decided couldn't cope with the smell any longer and hauled both dogs in the bath, they both shook but they stank so much DS1 was extremely anxious and wouldn't walk in the sitting room. Used some garden rose smellies that are a bit old fashioned for me I got for Xmas and both dogs now have come up smelling of roses :rotfl: They both got in bother as soon as they came downstairs (running away from me) they jumped on the leather sofa soaking it! So I have cleaned all that down. Right time to clean the bath and jump in myself as I got soaked bathing them two! Back hurts too as the oldest dog is huge and put up a major protest so had to lift him in!One day I might be more organised...........

Had a good drying day and got three loads of washing dry on the line.
Made a huge yorkshire pudding and it rose!!!!!! Had it with gravy, roast tatties, leeks, cabbage, baton carrots and baby sweetcorn - with cheese sauce and chicken breasts.
Made a quick dash to Lidl and got 24 two litre bottles of water, 30 toilet rolls a huge box of washing powder plus loads of potatoes , onions and carrots and other bits and pieces for the freezer.
Saves me pestering DH to drive me there during the week. Just got someone at the door wanting the "householder!" DH went and so , a few minutes later did the caller.
Hugs to all - I need to go and iron DD'd school uniform and load the dishwasher."This site is addictive!"

Hey all,
Last reply on the dailies for a while as back to school tomorrow  I hate the first day back after a break as my class consists of quite a few characters who find it hard to settle back into a routine! To be honest, they find every day hard to settle into but after a hol is always the worst.
I have however tried to enjoy my last day of freedom: I went swimming this morning, popped in to see my parents and my sister who was also visiting with her chap, continued my knitting practice, baked some cakes for sandwiches this week and am now catching up on all the threads.
Hopefully I will survive yet another half term of my first year in teaching and will pop in on the dailies at Easter! :rotfl:
Thanks for all your kind words and general support, even if that be just distracting me with a joke or a story!
Love, hugs and happiness till Easter!

Laura/Loumac best of luck, my sons are 2 who find it extremely hard to get back into the routine after the hols, trust me us parents (well most of us) appreciate the effort you have to put in. PS I'm doing my degree to go into teaching, volunteer at the school at the minute but it'll be a while before I qualify so I have seen the other side of the fence also.
I put 2 loads of washing on the line this morning and non of it is dry  it looks really bright outside but is still quite chilly up here so that is maybe why. Oh well they will have to go on the airers tonight, at least got them part dry outside.
Dogs are still sulking, puppy won't come anywhere near me :rotfl: at least I get some peace tonight. One day I might be more organised...........

Evening all,
Had a buy day today. Made a banana loaf, 16 banana muffins and 30 fork biscuits. Popped round to see my dad with the banana loaf then collected a pair of dance shoes for my DD11 from a freecycler.
Walked to our local garden centre and got a free bird feeder and seed as I had a voucher which came free in the local paper.
Came home and did a load of washing, cooked tea, chicken casserole with brown rice and made the pack ups for tomorrow.
Hate going back to work after the holidays, working in a school has it's advantages but the holidays go too fast!!!!!
Well DH has handed m a cuppa so am going to sit and watch Shipwrecked.
Have a good evening all.0 -
Hi All
Didnt post earlier as really had nothing much to say. Woke up at 4.30 warm and wide awake, got up on the PC and doing the family history searching, felt tired around 6am went back to bed, and DH woke me up with a cup of coffee around 9.30.
Got down to the baking today, Dug out of the cupboard my late Mum's old Kenwood Chef, (I don't have a light hand for pastry so need any help I can get!:o ). Made 2 batches of scones (Cherry & Sultana), two fruit pies with tins of pie fillings which have been in the cupboard for far too long, and a curd tard with a reduced cottage cheese found at our local veg shop yesterday. Then decided to make a Bero Milk Chocolate cake, got started on it, opened a tin of Carnation Milk I found, only to find it had solidified and turned yellowy brown when I opened it. Sell by on bottom was 97:eek:  Had to compromise, but I don't worry about that, then looked for my solid cake tins, only to remember they had been promoted to the loft as I wasn't using them!
Found a microwave one, so decided to cook it in the microwave, quick check of microwave recipe book to guess on setting/time. Worked a treat, allowed to set for a few mins then turn it out onto a plate, and put chocolate vermacelli on the top while still warm, looks fine!
Did some cupboard sorting out and slinging some out of date things away, been going to do it for a while, DH delighted that I decluttered by default, took over (has he always does) wiping out cupboard and re-arranging everything so I never find it. I get used to it at least it gets the jobs done.
Had the curd tart for pudding, delicious.
Tonight, more trying to find my illusive ancestors.
Congratulations, Hugs, and Sympathies as needed. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -

Hi Ya lil-me I usually leave the dog bathing to OH. She doesn't smell to bad at the mo, but will see how the car is tomorrow.
Its a task in itself bathing dogs. At least with having a boxer dog, she hardly has any hair, so dring time is quicker.
grannybroon Ive had many of requests from my ebay sales, can you make me more, I need this colour, etc... Im always happy to oblige. Im in the process of doing wedding invites for my mum's 3rd marriage! I did my cousins 21st birthday last yr. Plus other projects. People say I under charge. I only charge a small amount for my time, and enough to cover materials used. dlb has sampled some of my work many a time. The thing is with me, I think a card look's nice, pretty & elegant, but to other's they have more of a Wow response! I always worry that my taste isn't up to the same as other's.
I will gladly help you out with a card, just PM me as usual xxx
Just popped to OH's parents to check on the house whilst their on holiday, I love it when they go away, as OH raids their cupboards & freezer, to fill up our's, naughty I know, but his mum is one of these, who will buy something just for the reason "its on offer".
Off to run the bath now, as kids are back any minute.
OH just doing pack ups for tomorrow.
Be back later
