manager said he wants to "have a word with me about my role with the company" tomorrow....................... what can he mean by that?
I have been working 6 day weeks lately but have 2 full days off next week and was really looking forward to spending sometime with OH and kids but OH rang me last night from work asking what days I was off and then informed me he is working 12 hours on those days seen as I am off!
It is a lovely day here, hope everyone has a good day and hugs to thos that need them.

Why is a person that handles your money called a broker?!
  • Morning everyone, just, lol.
Haven't had breakfast here yet, but I've got all my clothes sorted for next week, so there will be no early morning scrabble to find something to wear.
Have decided to have Gammon Steaks, new pots & broccoli with parsley sauce for dinner. I've also written next weeks menu plan on the notice board so I don't forget it!
My lodger should be back tonight & hopefully will pay her rent, so I will pay it into the bank on Monday, I'm really beginning to feel a bit more optimistic about the future.
Hugs to all who need them.

  • Hi all. Dull and cloudy here this morning. Feeling a tad delicate due to old-age partying last night :). OH and I are hoping to go and see Hot Fuzz later on but I think we will need to book tickets first, have only just dragged him from his pit, he was REALLY drunk last night

Managed to get the ironing done yesterday so haven't got that hanging over me today. Also planted some chilli and pepper seeds in trays so am waiting impatiently now for them to show their noses above the soil

Thanks l'il me for the website you mentioned re the cat's tablets, I'll definitely be looking into those, it's over £10 cheaper a month. So far so good, I've managed to get her to take her tablets but OH is terrified about what happens when I go away at the end of the month for the weekend and he's left in charge :rotfl:

Have no plans for ANYTHING today :o apart from taking it easy. Haven't even thought about lunch or dinner, oops. Back to OS tomorrow methinks.

Have a great day everyone, hugs to all.

looked out of the window to see a flourescent-yellow-jacketed man noseying about in the garden. Seems he had been looking for his traffic light but didn't want to wake me - some hope of me still being in bed at midday with dgs here! Apparantly it had been used to smash my neighbours car window and they're vexed with me cos i didn't really have nything to add apart from SOMETHING disturbed me in the night.

10yodd has gone for the first of her social visits this week and i probably won't see her now until the night befoe her surgery. Dizzy with the thought of being Home Alone i have rung middle dd to see when she will be picking up dgs to find that she is not well and so i will have to get him ready and drop him myself - blimey i forgot - i stuck him in the naughty corner ages ago - I'll see if he's ready to say sorry for kicking nana yet :)
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

    2rm9l61.gif everyone,

I hope you are all well and 2vsgbqc.jpgto anyone in need of one.

Well it's been a long night here in the Smoky household. LO's temp finally stayed down this morning and he hasn't looked back since. He has been drinking like a fish and finally using the potty, whoopee!!!!!!!!
I only hope it's not going to go through the rest of us like a dose of salts. Thank goodness it looks like a 24 hour thing.

Well a quick tidy up to do, pork chop tea to prep (OH) hopefully ;) everyone to bath and the nit comb will get it's usual airing.

The garden will probably get a tidy after lunch and there is a pile of ironing to sort out tonight.

I hope everyone has a good day,
    Smoky. xxxx

    :hello: Afternoon everyone.

I woke up this morning at about 4am with the worst monthly pains I have had since I was about 15 (I'm 47 now so just not used to this). Eventually got up at 6am to take some painkillers and finally slept until about 10am. I've had a long hot bath in the hope that helps. I'm going through the m/pause and so far its been fairly ok. I hope this is just a blip.

Not a lot planned - sc paprika pork for tonight and probably will do some baking if I can find the energy. I also need to change the bedding. Someone is coming to collect a box of cross stitch magazines later as well so that will free some space up.

Well, better try and get going. Have a good day everyone.

    Good afternoon everyone,

was up early this morning (for a sunday!) so am feeling rather nicely awake just now :) Have just finished lunch, and am taking a break (and doing a bit more of my thread indexing). The WM is on, and will be clearing some stuff out to the dump a bit later. Will have to remember I want to put some chicken in the oven for tea as well so will do that in a couple of hours. I might spend a bit of time this evening looking through some old clothes which I know I'll probably never wear again (wishful thinking!) and see about getting rid of them. I've a long weekend coming up - 4 day working week this week and next! :j

    Extra hugs to:

penny-pincher and sister - hope you you (both!) feel better soon
Ticklemouse - hope the visit with your mum isn't too bad
Snowy - don't let the job get you down, and I hope it gets better
crazychick and OH - hope you can get things sorted out as quickly and easily as possible

*hugs* to everyone else who want or needs them (and even if you don't you're getting them anyway) :p

    Have a nice afternoon all

    Morning everyone.

Haven't posted on the daily thread before, thought it was time I joined in.

Feeling a bit rotten with a cold today, but not ill enough to stay in bed so I still have to keep going. DH going down with it too, today he feels like I felt yesterday, so we're doing the bare minimum.

Have taken the dog on the beach which made us feel a bit better. DS1 is out with his GF, DS2 and his mate are lying on the floor in the lounge flicking chanels between Kerrang and Scuzz. I don't suppose they will move much for the rest of the day.

I'm baking this afternoon, which alway makes me feel happy. Making Weetabix loaf, lemon drizzle cake and chocolate banana cake, all of them family favourites. I don't like cake much, but the other 3 are like a plague of locusts and it will probably all be gone by tomorrow so I will start again. Used to buy Penguins and things, but haven't done for ages as I feel making is better for them and quite theraputic for me. I know what goes in and it costs me less.

Made a huge amount of bubble and squeak yesterday which we had with pork chops, so there's enough to have with sausages tonight - it's everybody's favourite so I won't get any complaints.

My mum (who lives round the corner) is having an endoscopy tomorrow so she can't eat today and she has to take strong laxatives in preparation so she can't go far from the loo. Needless to say she's not feeling very sociable!

Hope everyone has a pleasant and peaceful Sunday.

    JJ xxx
