Hello all,
I'm still in my pyjamas. Woke up at half ten then had some snuggle time with OH. Washing was on overnight and has been put on the airer.
Just about to hop in the shower. Have stripped the bed, so now I HAVE to do the ironing and change the bed.
I think I'lll make some granola bars for lunches later as well. Could do with going food shopping but have left it too lte
Have a good one :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Afternoon,
Just having a quiet half hour after lunch. Have been at the allotment this morning making a couple of raised beds. DS had lots of fun digging in the mud and OH helped with the lifting. I am going back again in a bit to finish the beds off - I need to line them and start turning the soil over. It is lovely and warm and sunny so I am enjoying myself!
Have a good afternoon everyone

Finally feeling more like my self after being knocked off my feet with a flu like virus (yukky!). Haven't eaten for days but today I've actually got an apetite, so I've roasted a chicken, d11yo has peeled potatoes and some frozen veg will complete the meal for today! Basic, but oh how my tummy is ready for a little something
Still in my PJ'sbut so what!? I've been ill. Youngest is at the same stage as me in recovery too, so we're really only focused on having something yummy to eat
The house is a mess, loads of bedding to launder, but I don't care - getting my energy levels back up is the main priority and then by Tuesday I should be back to normal.
Meant I missed out on the Golden Wedding Party yesterday, but I couldn't have raised an eyebrow, let alone boogie along at a party.
Haven't had a chance to read through the thread yet but ((hugs)) for those who are in need/want.
There, that's my lot for now. I'm going to do a Nelski and have a slurp after dinner, except in my case, it means a hot toddy to kill off any lingering toxic critters lurking in my system <
= medicinal purposes!
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday:wave:

Feeling quite efficient today - OH disappeared off to work at some un-godly hour, so I managed a couple more hours sleep before cracking on with some chores. I've also fitted in a quick mooch round town and a good MSE browse as well. 2nd load of washing has just gone in, and I'm about to start the ironing. Dinner is going to be italian chicken, which needs very little advance prep and I'm planning a visit to the gym at about 4 when OH gets home. It must be all this sunshine giving me energy! It does make a difference - I've had all the windows open this morning to get a bit of air through the house, and was even brave enough to put the roof down on the car on the way into town.
Hope you're all having a lovely Sunday, hugs to those who need them, especially TM.
see ya :wave:0 -
Just got back from a trip to Morrisons for bread flour and yeast, our nearest shop had no yeast and no wholemal flour, so we travelled out to one about 10 miles away, got 4 bags of Hovis flour and 2 boxes of yeast (12 sachets) plus 1kg of malted flour for £3.28...........not bad at all, should keep us in bread for a while..............
Sun has gone and the mist has rolled in, very grey outside. I have prepared the supper ready to bung in the oven, chicken, roast spuds, bressels ,calebrese and a bit of kale, we have never had kale before, so just going to try it and see what its like.
I have done my shop and scan for this week, so another £1 towards some vouchers...........am off now to print off my menu sheet and shopping list for March, we will be due a shop when we get back from our trip.
I have decided to get the photo albums down from the attic and start going through them, I am planning on putting them onto discs, a laborious task I know, scanning them and then putting them into a files, we have over 2000 photos to do, some I know we will not bother with, but there are still a huge number.............think about me ploughing theough them......Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Afternoon Guys!
3 washloads completed and now have an empty laundry bin:D
Have sorted through some more paperwork, so am very pleased with myself. DD is just taking her friend back with OH, then will be settling down for the rest of the afternoon and evening. Dinner is cooking and smells delish. All her uniform is done and bag ready to go for tomorrow.
Have OH's uncle coming to do some electrics in the morning and to fit a new thermostat as ours is older than we are:p ...then OH can finish the tiling and that should all be done and dusted by next weekend.
Watched Lillies earlier as I recorded Friday and think we may put a film on later. BIL did us a load of films he had downloaded, so hopefully they will be ok.
Hugs to all.

Me too Queenie - I never take a drop other than for medicinal reasons - I just like to keep it prophylactic rather that curative and if you had done that you may not have ever been ill  :beer:

Hi everyone
Hope you are all having a good day. My sister and Mum stayed last night. Sister headed off for a meeting this morning and I have just taken my Mum up for a bus to get her home via Edinburgh. All over 60s have free bus travel throughout Scotland. I made her up a wee picnic for the second leg of the journey so she was very happy. Unfortunately she has had to give up driving at the moment (she is 81!). She lost sight in her right eye 53 years ago and is now developing a cataract in her good eye. It is a bit worrying because if cataract operation goes wrong it will mean instant blindness.
Didn't have a good night's sleep last night as Mum needs to get up several times and then had to go down to make a cup of tea. I woke at 5.30 to Blackpool illuminations - she had left a trail of lights on!
Hope to get back to work tomorrow though the more I think about it the more depressed I become. My mum and sister want me to have another week off but the trouble is no-one does my work when I am off so it would just make the backlog even greater!
Hope those who are still in the throes of the dreaded lurgy feel better soon.
Love to all

Hello everyone, having a short break from an absolute mountain of washing. Just got back last night from skiing in Bulgaria, DH had sickness and diahorrea and lost 7lb in a day (lucky so and so ) and now ds1 has it too. Woke at 6.30 after going to bed at about 1am. Made onion soup and am off to put some spuds in the oven soon, thought that would be bland enough for the recovering poorlies;)
Some so-and-so is moaning about something they bought from me off ebay nearly a month ago which cost 2 quid. AARGH!
There's just SO SO much washing but I am sure it will all be worth it when it's done and away HA HA HA. At least I return to find the hens are back on lay YIPPEEEE - eggy food here we come! and I am now an 'intermediate' skiierAND I am not overdrawn
ALready got my list of jobs to do for tomorrow but I think DS1 will have other ideasit's not at all like him to go to bed voluntarily!
