I Mum2one, glad to see you are still doing really well. :j
I do agree that the habits we have learnt along this journey will always be with me, I can't believe how wasteful I must have been in my previous lifeJust keep swimming!0 -
another month bites the dust - even ended the month in credit!!! think theres just one £6 charge - that is good going for me.
With payments last month and started paying this month, be on target to pay 4k this yr.
Had mum and dads bday in July, bigger expenses, but did them both for £50 each and that was including from DD
Next big expenses - DD bday Sept - alll sorted, then car MOT in sept - but bless him dads offered to help put and lend me some money, not really want I want, but the money that should have been allocated for servcing etc went back to paying the car off.
Trying for MSE days - just been away to wales, and chilled, set daily budget £5 between me and DD for slot bingo and 2ps - just took what we needed.
The amount of people that had £10 worth of 20ps and one woman we sat by, she said she was on her 3rd bag of money!! - theres me with a £1 coin - but a really good family holiday, few bargains, nice sunny days.
Plans for week
DD bedroom - gutted to within an inch of it's life!! (done)
Finish mine - usually get half way and then aches and pains get worse so never gets finished, - but were attacking it as a family,
Dining Room - (got hol stuff, bday presents, xmas prezzies, plus craft items...
and DD having a sleepover - hoping for a dry day plan to take them pond dipping with a picnic... (very mse!!) xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Give up waiting for the rich man!! and the lottery numbers...... thou DD fell in love with a caravan on the site we were just on, only 14k...... thats without the ground rent!! thou bless her she did say it would save having to pay holidays if we had our own caravan,(nice thought!!) xx
Getting there, treading water, but going in the right way! xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
I pleased as i managed to get mine and DDs bedroom gutted spent about 3 days, but there was not an inch that was left, - and pleased to say that mine is about 95% still tidy and DDs 80% - which is good going as normally within 2 days!!
The sleepover happened, it was a disaster - never again, her friend, is normally a demanding deva, but as i've been slowly saying no, this went down like a ton of lead ballons...
We had drinks spilled over the carpet, the same drink with finger marks all down the stair case - but she has no idea (it was her drink and her side of the bed!!)
It was a catalogue of disasters - and even DD asked does she have to come again - said yes for the day but no overngt...
Debts - slowly chipping away, not fast enough for me, but trying!! its going in the right direction, and working out money hit the 4k target this yr!
Can't beleive its just over 1 week summer holidays flown away.....
Starting to get some more stuff sorted for xmas, bits I call the added extras.
Now have fruit soaking for xmas cake, and ready to roll marizpan and icing ready..
Been good and used freegle - picked up jam jars (making some marmalades and jams for prezzies), and some plant pots as DD is having a mini greenhouse as part of bday prezzie, so far she has 4 patio fruit trees, - just been working in the garden with dad and repotted them in bigger pots. Considering he was having nowt to do with it - he was like a kid with a new toy... men.
Touch wood nxt yr we're have
Blackberries
Raspberry
Blueberry
Red Gooseberry
off to pictures taking DD to say thank you for being such a help this school holidays xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

We got through the summer holiday unscatched and within budget, thou I have to confess July and Aug each had a double payment, so meant that the expenses were covered, car still has half a tank of petrol.
We took the last week and bit away, stayed on remote working farm, it was lovely, had buffallos, cattle, sheep, free range chickens, 3 dogs that were gorgeous, a collie, and 2 jack russels, they all loved fuss, and DD was so happy when we came back and they came running to the car to meet us, thou Bailey wasn't so happy... he tried to nose dive through the net to get to the dogs (whoops!!).
The wildlife was lovely, we saw woodpeckers and varierty of birds feeding from the bird feeder, there was evan a peacock. Just a simple break, but we went up the coast, and paid for dad and DD to go to the circus,(half price tickets!!) took mum to the local Hungry Horse for a meal, DD had 2 outings to the fair, so we brought half day wrist bands, very sad and worked out one day she'd had 3 times the value of her wristband... even more mse took our own drinks..
Good news back to school ok on Tuesday, no problems till last night.... she been put playing, and one of friends pratting around fell on her leg - 4 hrs at a+e, gd news no broken bones in her leg, but damaged her muscles and ligaments, so shes on crutches till at least weekend......
Money wise - car MOT this month... (help, at least wont fail on tyres, dads helping out, so phew.
The rest of news - rang to see whats happening about dads op - no date yet, he was due for this month, then last week mum sees specialist - she needs an op on her carpol on her wrists - upto 20 weeks wait (no probs), got a call this afternoon - there is a cancellation could she go next Thurs...... (YES).
Have been mse started the xmas shopping for mum and dad, said give DD £10 each to spend on them, and £5 for a joint present, she gets them a little something from her money. I usually spend £25 each on them.
Dad - Pack of 4 CDs - male country and western singers £5, and 2 pairs of pjs with the shorts bottoms £5
Mum - Rainmac 99p, tshirt £5 nightdress £5
Shes a chip off the old block for bargain hunting xx
Money - were still chipping away and no o/d charges for August - plan to do new budget in Jan, as plan is want to have emergency fund £200 to start off with sounds mad with debts, but just had letter for school trip £20. It does say voluntry, but if they dont get enough money they cant go. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
now sorted out all my incomings from Sept throu to December, - have a list of what has to come out, need to tie them together. Think leave that to next week.
last couple days - made Rhubarb and Orange Marmalade. rhubarb pie (lovely) even if I say so myself, and 2 ice cream containers of mince pies, found jar of mincemeat left from last yr.
DD settled really well into yr 6 and likes her teacher (big phew) and we had a letter of apology from the ex-headmaster - apologising for all the upset he had caused, (which was like winning the lottery!!).
Pizza Hut for tea - as mums going into hospital tomorrow for an op on her hand, so take DD out - take her mind off it, and going for happy hr - £13 for the 2 of us, treat.
So nice DD started back with tap lessons tonight and her instructor gave her a uniform (grown out of last one - gave it to her incase someelse can make use of it), thought that was nice.
Money in Friday = Money out Friday afternoon, £20 petrol then leave me £5 for emergency (for a week) - but wont need anything...
Car booked in for MOT on Monday (help - dads helping out bless him, have to pay him back next month) so fingers crossed, it was serviced in Jan, had 2 new tyres so hopefully wont be too painful...
Christmas cake making at weekend, - translates to me sits on comfy seat, and reads recipie, DD does all the mixing and grandad does all the in and out of the oven - win win all round, poor mum be sat on sidelines!!xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
