Glad the discussion with your boss went well. I can imagine you'd be good fun and very motivating in a class
I know from my kids, the teachers who have inspired them are the ones who make learning interesting and stimulating. My DD has fabulous quotes/sketches from her chemistry, physics and biology teachers and they definitely helped her with her GCSEs. The art of bringing real life into teaching seems to be a gift but one which is worthwhile.

I second what Tilly says. And add that it would be great you have experience of something other than school/uni/teaching.
Really exciting times ahead Ed :TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

You are all lovely people - thanks for the thought provoking comments.
A bit of bad news tonight - Scottish Power want to put our DD from £62 - £200!
I can understand why, we have built up a £700 debit in the last 6 months. Neither option is good:
accept a £200/mth utility DD
Pay off a £700 debit and propose something like £140/mth
Hopefully they will listen to reason - we did have some extenuating circumstances last winter - heating wasn't on a timer as we foolishly didn't get this fixed when we moved in. Heating left on for solid days at a time etc..0 -
OUCHHH Ed. Bless you, thats nasty!
We are with Scot power and our deal finishes in june so back to deal searching, Martin mentioned EDF blue on his show tonight.Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!

Crickey Mr E, that's a bit steep
Hopefully you can reach an agreement with them.

I phoned SP this morning, went through the whole story and security, only to be told that their systems are effectively unavailable until Thursday! How on earth does that happen in this day and age? I work for an IT company and I'm surprised :rotfl:
I will pay the putstanding balance and call them back on Thursday.
I have been out to my local fish shop this morning, picked up a pair of cute little bristlenose plecs (Mrs E seems to have taken a shine to them) and we're off to the cinema this afternoon. Nothing intellectual on the agenda, will either be Iron Man or Star Trek
Other than that, trying to stick to low spending this weekend. Nice steak pie for tea tonight, driving lesson tomorrow.
Have a lovely weekend everyone0 -
Great news re primary school Ed:T
Boooooo to SP:(
I currently pay £130 DD with EDF B, however the kids certainly don't help with their hour long showers and lights/appliances being left on:oFebruary13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
MND - Let's go for 2020 'cos it's got a nice ring to it:D
C'mon nattypants:cool:0 -

Exhausted:
- Driving lesson

- Polished shoes

Trying desperately to get the taste of chili truffles out of my mouth - received as a gift - what the hell were those chocolatiers thinking? Actually feel physically sick0 -
Hi Ed
Well done on the productive day... did you get to the cinema or is that for later/another day?
You have my sympathies with the chilli choc thing. I'm not a fan eitherIn fact I don't like much of the savoury choc thing that seems to have crept in... salted chocolate or caramel.... yuck!
