    Thanks MCI - I finished it - that's the main thing :D

I have had a lovely afternoon of faffing about. Got some junk food for lunch, had a nice coffee and picked up some new inhabitants for my aquarium. Just cleaning the tank just now and will start introducing them in an hour or so.

Feeling a bit guilty about our monstrous pizza last night. Now don't get me wrong - we like our junk food - but pizza crust does not need to feature hotdogs!

Ah well, I'll try most anything *once*...

No particular plans for the day, maybe a bit of clothes shopping and some cooking (making some nice rustic duck rillettes today).

    £3 to stooze
    £7 to emergency fund

Have a lovely Saturday everyone

About the only thing you probably need to know about pensions is that if you're lucky enough to have a final salary one you should feel very happy about it and contribute as much as they'll allow you to. The people it's more complicated for are the ones who don't have access to a final salary arrangement. :)

Lois do you have a view on extra years vs AVCs? I know you said you
    don't make AVCs.

    Sorry to hijack. x

Extra years in a final or career-average scheme are the best thing you can do if they will let you, but I was under the impression that the option to do that in the Teachers' Pension Scheme had been taken away some time ago. If I'm wrong about that I'd love to hear about it.

I think you can still do it. According to the dufus from the Pru we saw in the Summer, anyway.

I don't mind the hijack, but you'll get more thorough answers on the pensions board ;)

Feeling a bit down in the dumps today, as I have oodles of housework waiting for me after my driving lesson  I should probably start on the really easy things now and make it easier for myself.

You've been jogging as well as driving?
Try rolling a tennis ball over sore muscles.. that does actually help!
The park I jog past has tennis courts - maybe I can scan the bushes for any that got away :D

Ew...and get dog saliva on yourself?!

A rolling pin is the best thing: physios sell some sort of plastic contraption that looks like one for quite a sum if you visit them. Foodie Ed is likely to have one around. :rotfl:
