Well done on everything - the EF looking good, and the stoozed amount too!
My DH tells me that running is good for blowing the cobwebs away - so keep that up too - it will help with coping at work.
Take care and enjoy your weekend.

My sympathies. My work situation is also !

Thx MCI - I'm going to need another credit card at this rateJust kidding, tbh I think I'm going to reign in the money hacks a bit this year and rely on boring but tested stuff, like not spending money and pestering my boss for a raise

Arghh! Mentally whipping myself today after we went out to the pub and ended up having a Chinese on the way home. £50 gone
Mrs E was a bit bored and seemed slightly out of sorts, so I offered to treat her (she has a lot of unavoidable expenses at the mo and I'm a bit more flush than she is at present). My problem is that I was trying to take her mind off the boredom, but I'm also not great at saying noI'm not a crazy boozehound or anything, but I am one of those people who would rather stay for one more than cut myself off at a set point.
Any suggestions for drinking less when we do go out (other than the obvious 'man up and stop after 2-3'?) I feel like I've had one too many hangovers since Christmas and I'm finding it tricky to balance fun social drinking and daft OTT drinking. Before you get too worried, I think I had 4 beers yesterday!
The Chinese was very tasty and I've hopefully undone at least some of the damage with a virtuous run in the snow
Driving lesson went well today and I have now tried all of the manoeuvres at least once. I had hoped to be ready for test in a few weeks, but maybe I have been overly ambitious? My instructor thinks I'll need another 10-15 hours of tuition before I book the test. Not horrendous in terms of hours (I've about 5-10 below the average at the moment), but it will mean we've spent close to £2500 on lessons! I am getting mighty sick of grinning and bearing this particular expense.0 -
Well, I say make the most of it Ed, because if you manage to have a little Ed you will never go out again.0

Kinda true...and thanks for making me feel even more virtuous about not spending money I shouldn't have yesterday!:rotfl:

Don't beat yourself up too much Ed. You had a good time didn't you? YES. And you weren't spending money you didn't have? NO. And hopefully Mrs Ed is feeling better now? I Hope So.
Take care and good luck at work this week.

Arghhh! I am incredibly unimpressed to see that FD no longer offer the Regular Saver. I guess I'll be closing my account then - no point shuffling money if there's absolutely no benefit to me to do so0

Also pretty gutted here! I used that accountto save up for my deposit and now just in a position to start saving again and it seems to have gone only just recently, very annoying! I will still keep them as my current account though, just can't beat the service. I'm still astonished to have my call picked up by a human in only a few rings!! Who do you use for your current account now, are you very happy with them?0
