Home for us - we live within easy travelling distance of both my parents and Mrs E's parents. Mrs E's dad is a chef, so Christmas dinner is normally spent with the in-laws.

    What about you?

Oooh the chef part sounds good! :D

I will most likely be away as my family are all over in Cambs n Lincs (I currently live in the West Midlands) so gives me a good excuse to get away.
  • We tend to have both sets of parents plus my oldest brother (+ or - kids), although he has a girlie friend so not sure if he will come this year. OH sister and family as well.

Hope you get a new job soon Edinburgher :) Few years back, I was looking for months and got offered 3 in a week...opted for a lower paid one which wasn't permenant as less travelling = less stress...soooo glad I went for that one even though the other would have been more money and job security...it just wouldn't have been worth the huge life upheaval to get there and back each day.

I LOVE Christmas! I am doing quite well with presents up to now but still lots more to go :D

Thanks ammonite, submitted one application and I check every day for other suitable posts.

Last OPs made before Mrs E gets paid tomorrow - £13.74 into both the OP Pot and the EF (refunds for shonky LED light bulbs). The refunds went to a credit card that I no longer use, so I used them to buy Amazon gift certificates for Christmas gifts :T By

Is it sad that I enjoy Mrs E and I being paid on different days? It feels like two chances for OPs :roftl:

Good luck in your job hunting, i am currently also looking, found one that would be ideal, £1k less but could walk to work instead of a 40min commute (so would prob save the £1k in petrol over the year) and to be honest it would be worth it to be happier, not very happy in current post :(

Jealous of 2 lots of OP'ing!!
    2019 Totals: Savings: £929.53 / Mortgage OP - £746.32

Grocery challange April: £130.17of £500 target remaining

Walking to work would be great. In theory I could do it, but a 6 mile return trip is maybe just a little too far for 5 days a week?

Getting very excited about tomorrow - if I can find £28, I can make my first actual capital overpayment to the mortgage!

It really is, because I am a cool MFW

Got the last of my refunds from Amazon, paid another £2.37 into both the OP Pot and the EF. Only £17.28 to find by tomorrow and I have already sold 2 CDs on Amazon Marketplace :T That said, I have literally £0.00 left in my account now - thank flip Mrs E will transfer me her leftovers tomorrow!

Tonight I have updated prices on Amazon Marketplace and checked my eBay listings (up to £15.55, so more than covers OP!)

I have called Santander and they have updated my account to show that an OP cheque is on the way, so no backing out now.

Driving lesson at 9, so will check diaries and cheerlead until then :j
