14 Services also provide - as they call it - K9 Patrols.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

It's for their 'K9' Unit donchaknow! So George can play the big man and pretend he's someone with authority. :rotfl:
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
  • And to give people the idea that if they ignore his letters the dog will pay them a visit!

No, only joking, no one will call. The clue is in the fact that George calls the dog "Brains".

If you see the van folks, be sure to let the tyres down.
  • I'd like to see him threaten me with his Dog, I would quite litterally laugh in his face. lol.

Everyone got a letter last night saying the new scheme comes into effect on thee 22nd of Feb. We have a residents meeting on the 25th and our facebook page looks like something out of V for Vendetta atm with all the posts about this scheme.
  • Nice that they consulted the residents first.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
  • Just say NO. If you don't pay the mickey mouse charges, and tell all visitors to do the same, it can only fall flat on its face. How many residents are there? Surely if they can all get a letter about the introduction of the scheme, they could all get a letter telling them not to comply? After all it will be the residents who are the victims, always is in these cases.

    hi ya

I also live in great mead, im concerned you have got a letter individually and no one i know has ? but a little bit relieved that that are not bothering with the dedicated bays at the moment, although I appreciate your predicament, as a close neighbour of mine also has the same problem, its flamming ridiculous that there is no extra parking for visitors etc, we are not in the town centre, and its a pretty wide open estate,!!!

i believe the residents meeting is at 3pm !! what also concerns me is the lack of response from sovereign housing who manage the properties where i am, they have just palmed it off saying linden homes will be in touch,,, i hope this gets sorted sooner or later coz i feel sick to the stomach, having just bought a brand new car, really done want the likes of these muppets clamping it or worse towing away although that has not been mentioned in the notices YET!!!

As previously suggested, check the plans to see if they should have put in visitors parking, could be worth even asking a friendly planner for his slant on it.

    edit.
Make sure you get as many as possible to the meeting and ensure they understand that a ticket (otherwise known as pcn, fine, penalty or what ever name they want to call it) is not enforcible for those with dedicated spaces etc.
See also the thread on PCM for what may follow.
Also mention this site and pepipoo.com so they can see how the ppc is only effective if they let them be.

  • this is the original planning application was not easy to find, as in the applications they are noted as i,e "06.01005.FUL" you have to change that to : "06/01005" to search for it doh!!, still looking forward from this: for plans raised since

    northplanning.wiltshire.gov.uk/DCOnline/AcolNetCGI.exe?ACTION=UNWRAP&RIPNAME=Root.PgeResultDetail&TheSystemkey=57143

this is the only ref i could find to parking:

The areas allocated for parking on the submitted plan shall be kept clear of obstruction and shall not be used other than for the parking of vehicles in connection with the development hereby permitted.

Reason: In the interests of highway safety.

The proposed roads, including footpaths, cycleways and turning spaces where applicable, shall be constructed in such a manner as to ensure that each dwelling before it is occupied shall be served by a properly consolidated and surface footpath and carriageway to at least base course level between the dwelling and existing highway subject to current regulations and British Standards requiring accessibility.

Reason: In the interests of highway safety.
