Hope you managed to get most of your list done - if you need any help with the letter give us a shout.

Thank you EE. I got most the list done [everything except the council tax, I seem to be putting it off]

I'm no longer on hold for the jsa, they've paid it into my bank account. The mortgage insurance claim is going to be paid from May 27. That's when I'll lose the jsa as I can't get it paid directly to the building society.

I'll have to come up with some other cunning plan...

A lot to do today. I'm not sure I can get it all done. I'll review it all later and see how much I got done.

    • Buy stamps - see if there are any left at the village PO
Two books of stamps bought - cost 11.04
    • Phone man about patio door - haven't heard anything back about repairs
Couldn't get hold of him, will try again Monday
    • Put three items on e*bay - only 99p items. Free listing tomorrow for more expensive bits
Hate e*bay. Completely forgot to do it :o
    • Pay the Captain's insurance - decided to go ahead with it. He's old and I worry that if he's not well I can't afford the vet fees. I don't have anything put aside - I have made the money through e*bay sales etc, so it's not coming out of my budget
Devalued the Captain and saved £147. Please don't tell him but he's not worth much to anyone else, so I had him valued at £750. He still gets full cover for illness and accident
    • Make an appointment for the Bear's annual check and jabs
Tomorrow morning, poor Bear. I shopped round and got a price of £31 for jabs and health check
    • Update my calendar with dates for job centre, horse shoes and a hair cut - I need the paper one on the wall. I don't remember to use the one on the computer
    Done
    • Read the [STRIKE]rubbish[/STRIKE] letter that DWP have sent
Done. They want to know how much I will be receiving in insurance. But I'm not sure, I didn't ask whether it was the whole amount or just interest. I will check back on Monday
    • Set up Twitter account - I might leave this until tomorrow when dd has built my website
    To do tomorrow
    • Continue with job applications - I've signed up for part-time job notifications
Applied for a job as a part-time lettings negotiator. I wonder if I'll hear anything back
    • Council Tax - urgent
    Not done
    • Password reset on card reader for new bank account - urgent
    Done
    • Vacuum and dust downstairs - have spotted cobwebs
    Done
    • Meal plan and shopping list
Done and the shopping too. Spent £50.41 This includes several double ups as the offers were saving a lot of money. Bought two packs of coffee, two packs of soap powder and four boxes of cat food. Expensive but longer term savings
    • MOT - due today!
I'dforgotten all about it :o I remember about 2am this morning. The car passed and cost £40

Quite an expensive day, all necessary and I have saved money where I can.

Tomorrow I get the opportunity to listen to the Bear sing in the car all the way to the vet and back

    Morning missrir!

I have sorted out a bank account, I've messed up the pin number and have had to get a new one sent to me. I've got a bit of breathing space as the mortgage won't get paid until 27th May - Under control for the moment.

It is rubbish, but I'm seeing my special advisor at the job centre on Wednesday :D I'm going to ask where I stand if I'm trying to work for myself, there may be some scheme where you get some help. Probably not, but I'll ask anyway.

The outing went well, he sang all the way there and all the way back. He also sang to a captive audience at the petrol station. The light came on the dashboard, I did explain to him that he'd be stuck in the car even longer if I didn't put some petrol in.... I'm convinced that the other patrons of the service station thought I had an opera singer trapped in the car :D

Unfortunately, he needs some work done on his teeth, they are not in very good condition, although his gums are still healthy. The vet is going to send me quote through on Monday, but it looks like we're looking at a bill of around £200:eek:

The rain is hammering it down, it is miserable. I'm waiting for dd to arrive, she is always late!

I buy a really lovely french bread flour from the local farm shop, it makes fantastic bread - There's a loaf in the breadmaker ready for lunch. I've also got a stockpot of spicy sweet potato and butternut squash soup simmering away. The potato and squash were reduced to 50p yesterday! It smells divine....

The Bear is back in bed after his trip to the vet, after consuming a whole pouch of food, nothing like being traumatized...

As dd is coming to help me with my website I have arranged a babysitter for the Captain. He won't be going out hacking with his babysitter, I think she plans on playing with him in the indoor school, poles and cones. He loves anything remotely gymkhana-ish. He'll be tearing around like a happy loon...

The list is not impressive, just the list of a woman who has lapsed and is lazy. I had to do it :o

Poor old Bear - our purrballs often go operatic in the car on the way to the Vee Eee Tee :) Have you thought of the PDSA - as you are claiming benefits?? They may be able to help with the vet bill??
