Mum is really cheerful and taking it easy. I've made her lasagne for tonight and a cottage pie for tomorrow and baked a couple of trays of Twinks hobnobs, not sure how long they'll last with my dad hoovering them up :rotfl:
Other than that I don't have much to report, no money in, no money out. I haven't had much chance to sort anything out on the work or benefits front. It looks like tomorrow will be pretty much the same.
I did manage a ride in the wind with the Captain, he finds the wind very exciting so we were belting around the school. He felt like he was laughing!
I'll pop back later and update my nothing happened report.

Been AWOL for a few days and just seen about your Mum, scary stuff. Especially when there is no firm diagnosis
Glad she is home and you have convinced her to be sensible, more than I ever managed to do with my Mum who was dusting ready for the Dr to come a day after a stroke.
Loving the Shetland Stories, they are very stubborn characters and I have many memories of two that used to be at the local stable (& the first thing I ever rode), they do have a mind of their own and will go to any lengths to get what they want!:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -

Mum is seeing her GP today, maybe he'll have some ideas as to what's happening.
I think yesterday was the last day of her doing nothing, she was itching to dust, change the towels and so on. It's probably not a bad thing to do light housework, there's no way of stopping her unless I superglue her to a chair!
Shetlands cannot be made to do anything they don't want to do. I've seen so many men think you can pull a Shetland along the same way as a dog, only to find themselves being towed towards a field with no way of stopping! Much stronger than a dog!

Funny thing is, I was in two minds about riding, feeling a bit guilty as I hadn't done anything here, I have a long list of things to do. But as you say, he sorted out my head. I really enjoyed playing with him [we weren't really doing any schooling, just hoolying around in the wind]

A lot to do today. I'm not sure I can get it all done. I'll review it all later and see how much I got done.
- Buy stamps - see if there are any left at the village PO
- Phone man about patio door - haven't heard anything back about repairs
- Put three items on e*bay - only 99p items. Free listing tomorrow for more expensive bits
- Pay the Captain's insurance - decided to go ahead with it. He's old and I worry that if he's not well I can't afford the vet fees. I don't have anything put aside - I have made the money through e*bay sales etc, so it's not coming out of my budget
- Make an appointment for the Bear's annual check and jabs
- Update my calendar with dates for job centre, horse shoes and a hair cut - I need the paper one on the wall. I don't remember to use the one on the computer
- Read the [STRIKE]rubbish[/STRIKE] letter that DWP have sent
- Set up Twitter account - I might leave this until tomorrow when dd has built my website
- Continue with job applications - I've signed up for part-time job notifications
- Council Tax - urgent
- Password reset on card reader for new bank account - urgent
- Vacuum and dust downstairs - have spotted cobwebs
- Meal plan and shopping list
- MOT - due today!
