Thank you everyone for your good wishes for my mum. She would give a wave if she knew about us hanging out here, but I've never got around to mentioning it!

She spent a comfortable night, according to the hospital. Personally, I doubt it. The woman in the opposite bed sounding like a whale surfacing, having an afternoon doze she was making the walls tremble with her snoring. I can only imagine what her night-time serenade sounded like. Mum is quite deaf, but even she could hear the snoring
Hopefully, the results of her tests and a doctor to translate them will appear sometime today. Then we will know what we are dealing with.

I'm going to dad-sit, but I'm taking my laptop, so I will get some research, diaries, blogs and application work done. Although he won't say, I can tell that he is very upset and worried, hardly surprising. At least I can provide endless cups of tea!

I'm going to work on the outline of the book today. I've got the opening chapter done. I am aware this is probably backwards, but I was never that conventional.

Thinking about Shetlands, there's got to be a good story there, just pairing one of awkward little ponies with the Captain is a recipe for fun and mayhem. It's going on the list of potential stories for children.

I'm going to update the blog with Sunday's hack and the bad tempered yorkie. It will be easy to write and keep the blog going. If I get time will sign up to Twitter....

My day hasn't gone at all according to plan. My mum is in hospital with a suspected heart attack. I've been at the hospital and running my dad around. We're awaiting the results of various tests to find out exactly what's going on. Until then it's fingers crossed time. Mum seems alright in herself, but she says she still has a bit of pain under the morphine they've given her. I'm happier she's there, just in case. Dad looking after her is not the ideal scenario.

I'm waiting for my dinner to cook, I cheated and bought a ready meal, I'm afraid :o. For having done very little today I'm very tired. I'll be back later this evening, although I suspect I won't be updating my blog and I'd wanted to do that at least six times a week...
