There was aprogramme on channel 4 not long ago about ladies who did the telephones. It was hilarious as they went about there everyday jobs (shopping, painting and ironing) whilst talking dirty on the phone. They made a fortune!!

    OMG Piq..you haven't posted ALL day..are you OK??!:rotfl:

I just realised this eve that I haven't had my daily fix of Piq tales - whether from the Captain or the JC! Your diary slipped to page 2 of my subscriptions due to lack of use which is unheard of:rotfl: (so I had to rectify that!;))

Anyway hope you're having a lovely Easter

    Hugs

Well that's me sorted careerwise then - hurrah! Can't wait to write my LinkedIn profile now...

Actually Mrs B I was trying to get onto your page 3 of subscribed diaries, you've spoiled it a bit now ;)

I couldn't write last night I was too tired. I got a dose of that 'can't even get out of the chair to go to bed' tiredness. I crawled up to bed at about nine and slept through, I must have needed it!

I did't do a great deal yesterday, I wanted to list some items on e*bay, but didn't get around to it, nor did I do any housework, that's okay though as it's still here waiting to be done. What a relief! Imagine how I'd feel if the housework disappeared because I hadn't done it....

Here is a picture of the Bear working hard for a living...

I still haven't listed a thing on e*bay, although four items sold today and the one that didn't I got a message about asking if I could relist as a buy it now as they missed the closing time. All told I've got six parcels to take to the post office on Tuesday. I will list tomorrow.

The reason I didn't list is my DD called and said she'd put the train money in my bank and I was to come and join her for the day in London. And that's exactly what I did. We did a moisturiser challenge in Selfridges, we separated up and blagged our way around the cosmetics department bagging ourselves no less than 43 different samples of moisturiser, all of which have come home with me :j I also have a very youthful left hand from where the sales assistants showed me how good their products were. I didn't like to tell any of them that they were layering their sample on top of the last sample I'd tried....

After that we sampled our way around the alcohol department and I have come away with a bottle of vodka instead of an Easter egg from DD. She has come away with a date with the gentleman who makes the vodka....

Then we tried on evening dresses, DD looked fantastic, I looked like a hot air balloon :rotfl:

I've had a lovely day, now I'm catching up on the diaries with a glass of wine. Hope you've all had just as nice a time today

Awesome. Love it! Can't wait until my DDs are old enough for that kind of day. Pre lightbulb Selfridges was my favourite, most favourite favourite shop...I have spent so much there in my heyday. All that lovely stuff under one roof....well I am almost vicariously living the (your!) day:D

    Vodka rather than chocolate...added bonus:D

Have a great Easter Sunday! Sounds like it might be kinda anti climax tho!!

    Hello, what a stunning day.
Am in the New Forest for weekend with Doglet seeing parental types not MSE, but good for alcohol consumption reduction. Looked at a couple lovely greys today on a hack and wondered if it was Captain and you but no. Spent an afternoon with niece and Mr Peg (her pony) so equine fix complete, have good Sunday x

Ooh, I love the sound of yesterday. I've never tried getting free moisturiser samples but it sounds like the sort of thing I should try. Do you just march up and ask for a sample, or do you pretend to need assistance, then appear undecided? I did manage to score a sample cherry vodka/fancy chocolate combo in Harvey Nicks a few weeks ago. I only went in for a wee (I like a posh loo) and this very smart looking chap invited me to try them. Very nice too but I didn't even bother asking the price!

Love the Bear, he appears to have life sorted x
