    Hi All

Piq, you really make me chuckle! Fantastic job on the fleabaying, magpieing etc etc, can't abide doing anything like that, but think I will have to learn to love it. I am thinking of doing a horsey car boot, have loads of bits and pieces that are cluttering up the tack room. Trouble is, can't stand car boots either .

I am on a count down at work, I finish on 31st May. But in the meantime have to put up with a complete twonk I work with. He has been poorly with toothache so was off sick Thursday and Friday, he came in yesterday, but proceeded to disappear for hour/hour & half in the morning, came back for a few minutes then disappeared again - I found him asleep in his car (two hours later) - did I ever wake him up with a shock!

Hope all equines, dogs, cats etc are well!

Twonk!!! What a wonderfully descriptive word, I must use it today, lots! Most people would stuff themselves with painkillers and get some oil of cloves and get on with it, rather than take a couple of days off - what a twonk!

Horsey boot sale, now there's an idea. I have loads of stuff. I've been thinking about fleabaying some of the Captain's rugs, all cleaned, but he has too many [about twenty :o] and some don't fit very well. However, the postage would be astronomical. I could do buyer collects, I suppose. I wonder what horse rugs go for ...

Hi Piq - rugs do quite well - postage usually costs about £10 to send a rug. What size and what rugs have you got, I would think Captain and Bertie are about the same size and as he always trashes his .......

The Captain takes a 6'3". He's very good with his rugs, thank goodness.

He trashes buckets, as he likes to lob them across the yard. The last bucket got run over by the yard owner as the Captain lobbed it a good twenty feet where it landed, just in time to be crushed.

Morning, got my equine fix this morning, no foal yet so we continue waiting. I have loads of Baldy's old rugs to sell too, he was only a wee 5'3 or 5'6, waiting for some good weather so can clean them before flogging them!

You must post a photo of the foal when it arrives. We'd all love to see!

A busy morning, that's a good thing, right?

I signed up with Green Metropolis and have listed 25 paperback books so far. It may take a while for them to go or they may not go at all, but it is an attempt to both make some money and clear some clutter. Books are really difficult to sell.

Having said that, I have got a lot of graphic novels that belonged to my son. He doesn't want them any more and they are just taking up space. I'm listing them separately as there is actually a little bit of money in them. I'm putting them on Amazon as that's where the best price is. I need to find a box to store all the things I'm selling, especially the books, which may be around a while. It will save anyone borrowing them! And it keeps things tidier.

I sold a boxed DVD set on Amazon this morning and have already posted it off. All four items finishing today on Ebay have sold. I'm just awaiting payment and then I'll do the walk yet again to the village Post Office. The man behind the counter is as miserable as sin, his face would fall off if he smiled or said good morning...

I've decided to put the money from the sales into my new just in case bank account. I transferred £5.00 across this morning to see if it worked. Then realised I haven't had any of the login details or pin numbers yet :o

Man pet has just delivered a roll of bubble wrap for my parcels and a cauliflower. How kind!

    I'll update more later.

Careers advisor day today. I did my loitering outside M&S thing, still cannot queue outside the job centre. It was an interesting 45 minutes, I got the impression he was clutching at straws to try to find something for me. The first one he came up with was an accounts job, something I have no experience in whatsoever, I managed to persuade him it wasn't for me. However, the second suggestion actually made me snort with laughter, sheep husbandry. I like sheep, but know next to nothing about them, I wouldn't want me looking after sheep. Particularly as these sheep are part of a childrens' petting farm. Can you imagine the little dears wondering why all the sheep were lying down and not moving  as their shepherd had not noticed the sheep were unwell! And you had to clean the toilets...

I've just realised why the jobs have slowed down this week, it's Easter and a lot of the recruiters are going to be on holiday this week and next. I will use the time to sell anything that isn't screwed down. Another four items sold totaling £16.50 and another two posted.

Sunshine here today, so I took the Captain out for a short hack to balance out the job centre. No shannanigans to report, I'm afraid.

Accounts and sheep husbandry?! What a bizarre combination!! I wonder what skills you have that led him to believe those would both be suitable :rotfl: :rotfl: I mean, I bet there's some folk out there who could do either at the drop of a hat - but I suspect they'd already be pretty occupied if they could turn their hands to such a wide variety of things! Quite ridiculous :rotfl: :rotfl: I do hope you're keeping track :D

I know..I've got it. Get him to shuffle over and do his job....this is a blooming joke. You'd be a million times better at finding suitable opportunities for folk than this twonk (yep..I love that description too!)

 what a waste of tax payers money this guy is....hope they're not all as bad:eek:

Glad you had a good trip out with the Captain. Any snow?
