Helloooo P and friends
just back off hols and so catching up. OMG re patio door - hope its sorted now. Hope the job front is a better one for you this week too x0 -
Hello one and all - waving madly...
I'm popping in to update, I'll be back to chat to you all later and respond to your messages.
I had a call this morning asking me to do a mystery shop today, it was for £10 but was a way down the road. I'd just entered 80 DVDs on Music Magpie and was about to package them up, there must have been a hesitation in my voice as the girl instantly offered to put it up to £25 and refund the £5 that I would have to spend. What could I say, but yes! DS3 popped in to offer to take me out for coffee, I persuaded him to take us to a coffee place near where I had to do the mystery shop so didn't use any fuel either :j
There should be about £30 back on the DVDs, once I've sent them off and I've still got some bits to post on eBay.
Best get on with it....

Thanks for the welcome Piq
My name came about due to the fact I'm a clumsy b*ugger and all you hear from me is oops as I bash/fall/trip into the nearest wall/desk/chair/nothing :rotfl:
Thank goodness you caught the patio door saving you from more £££'s to be spent.
Hmmm numpty's at work - the golden boy, the one who's been there for years but knows nowt, the normal ones and the half a job bob's are all in my office. It's amazing I've not strangled one of them yet as I don't suffer fools gladly (and also had it pointed out by management oops). Hard to give up how you've grown up especially as my learning was done in Oz where we are honest and blunt about it. That turned a bit ranty lol.
No pets for me, not really an animal lover however the husband pet is newish (7 months old) and we still are in the training phase. I wonder what changed as we'd been together 4.5 years at least.
Anyways longer post than I meant to. Again thank you for the welcome and will keep up hopefully.

Excellent Piq,
what a frugal day you have had! Talk about good timing!0 -
Oh so sorry hear about door, and the Bear woes as a result but yeah for man pet, what a bargain!
Yes, he certainly was a best buy!
Not heard anything about the door and I haven't chased because I've been so busy, eBaying, magpying and mystery shopping.
The Bear is driving me mad! I am going to rename him Hokey Cokey because of the in, out, in, out that he's being doing all day.
Because I can't open the patio door, I have to climb across a sofa to let him in through the previously unused back door. Needless to say, he won't use this door and refuses to acknowledge its existence. I have to go out into the garden to collect him then have to climb back over the sofa to carry His Royal Highness over the threshold...

I wish I could take your worry away but I can't. Haven't been on the thread at all this weekend as my sister took me to Bath for a surprise 'thank you' holiday ... (something I did for her in January). It was wonderful and a real treat to be grown up and pampered for a couple of days .... oh for the old lifestyle I used to live ... gone (just like my youth)!!
Anyway, chin up and all that .. I am so positive something good awaits you and I will carry on reading your wonderful thread ... don't stop!
Sending you love
Hello Nicola
How lovely to see you again and thank you so much for your kind comments.
Isn't Bath lovely? It's such an interesting place too, so many things to see. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, you deserve a decent break.
Hopefully my life will sort itself out soon and I won't have to worry quite so much.

hi Piq sorry to hear about the door. That must have been a bit of a shock to say the least.
Well done on getting on with the listing. I must do this as well over here too.
I am sure that something will turn up soon. But don't forget about claiming for council tax benefit too
chev
I promise I will sort out the council tax Chev. I don't want to be told off again :rotfl:The day's gone mad with opportunities to earn some money, so I've taken them all. But hasn't left me any time for admin - Tomorrow....Morning Piq, what a great man pet you have. You must treat e*ay as a job. I have so many clothes, alot of them not so fab, but they are either too big, too small, or never suited me. I signed up for the £10 a day in April challange and I am going to go for it.
If you have trail size shampoos and the like, those seem to be going and even a once used tube of san tropez fake tan. (not joking)!
So right, to more interesting topics. Is Captain turned out all day? It's going to be cold. Will he wear a blanket? x
The Captain comes in for the night at the moment, so he wears a stable rug, he is a hairy cob so doesn't get too cold. The rug is to keep him clean
I am eBaying clothes in all sizes, I cannot believe I was a size 10, but I must have been, the dresses are there to prove it! I have plenty of bids and lots of watchers plus I've put some more on today. I've found it easier since I decided it was to be treated as a job not a chore.
I actually go round and get samples of moisturiser for me to use on a daily basis. I haven't bought any for ages!Morning
Hope you and the Captain are well.
Thats carp about the door and even mega carp about the jobHope something sorts itself out soon. Fingers and paws crossed.
Glad you are getting on ok at ebay, its so boring but nice to see the pennies roll in.
Hope you have a nice day with the Captain, nice and sunny here but predicting snow and rain, joy!
There was nothing on the job front today, there rarely is on a Monday. I think most of HR and recruiters spend Mondays in meetings, it's a way of not working I suppose...:DTotal debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

A husband pet, we don't have one of those, well, I suppose we do now! I like the idea of the training phase, good luck with that
I'm not very good with the fools either and I've been pulled to task for a superior attitude once or twiceApparently I stalk in a menacing manner
Make of that what you will. I have decided against putting that on my cv as a skill, even if I do think it's one, if there are numpties throwing themselves in the broom-cupboard to get out of my way, that can only be a good thing...

Hi All
Piq, you really make me chuckle! Fantastic job on the fleabaying, magpieing etc etc, can't abide doing anything like that, but think I will have to learn to love it. I am thinking of doing a horsey car boot, have loads of bits and pieces that are cluttering up the tack room. Trouble is, can't stand car boots either .
I am on a count down at work, I finish on 31st May. But in the meantime have to put up with a complete twonk I work with. He has been poorly with toothache so was off sick Thursday and Friday, he came in yesterday, but proceeded to disappear for hour/hour & half in the morning, came back for a few minutes then disappeared again - I found him asleep in his car (two hours later) - did I ever wake him up with a shock!
Hope all equines, dogs, cats etc are well!
Noo
