After hearing about zapper on your diary I googled it as I hadn't heard of it before (and there's me, claiming to me an MSE'r) and I'm gutted! About two weeks ago I took 3 HUGE boxes of books to the charity shop. Oh well. I guess I'll have to hope the good karma will come in handy instead

I know nothing about blogging either, but do remember reading a thread on here sometime ago about someone who blogs for an additional income . I will have to see if I can find it again, it might be of some help. I really think its a fantastic idea, you could really keep everyone entertained.
Sorry today hasnt been so good though, the job application sounds a pain. Dont give up, theres something out there not involving those damn sheep for you I'm sure of it !
You just need a 5 book publishing deal to get the ball rolling and you will be a multi millionaire in training x
Oh....... Did the Zapper courier arrive ? I used them last week but didnt sell enough to qualify for the courier so had to trundle down to the Post Office.:(
The Zapper courier arrived at 6.30, only half an hour late and after I had waited in all day - not annoying in the slightest!
I have a blog set up and with my first post up and running. I must be as thick as a brick, I found it really difficult to do. At one point everything disappeared, now I have two versions and no idea how to delete one version. I'm not sure how it would make additional income. I'll have to be a little more competent on managing the content first! It does look nice though!
A five book deal would be nice, I can only think of two though.
Off to trawl through the diaries and then time to shout at the Apprentice.

Ooh is it Apprentice time of the week already ? I hadnt realised, it only feels like yesterday we were both moaning about it.
I think the additional income was somehow convincing people to advertise on your blog, in your case RidingWear or Horse Food or something maybe !! You will have to tell us all how earth we find your blog now ! I cant wait !!LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

I just have to be certain I'm doing it almost correctly then I'll put a link on my profile page. I truly have no idea how to use the darn site, there are so many options that mean absolutely nothing to me!

If you sell more than 30 items to Zapper you get a free courier [eventually] to collect your goods. They seem to be on a par with Music Magpie for price, it's almost impossible to sell books anywhere now, so I've let them go quite cheaply.

Hi Piq,
you sound busy - well done on the fleabay and Zapper sales. I've only tried Amazon and Greenmetrolumps as fleabay scares me . Amazon has been pretty poor for me lately though I did have a £12 sale to post today :j.
What a bummer about the job rejection - how rude to not even pretend to take the time to read it.
Glad you enjoyed your evening with your friend - you sound a bit more upbeat.
I liked the piccy of The Bear; a boy with big paws. Mr A has been out in the rain - his idea not mine, his fur is so long he's like a sponge and comes in and shakes himself like a dog then likes to plonk himself on my knee to dry off leaving me with a damp lap - ooer.
Did you ever get feedback from your writing course? Maybe you don't want to share it but I do hope it was encouraging.
Keep up the good work, Teapot0 -
I have given up on the Apprentice, lasted 10 mins this week.
I have the attention span of a gnat , so am now watching Peter Andre, he's far prettier than Lord Sugar :rotfl:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Oh my goodness, did I forget to tell you all about the feedback? I did, didn't I?
I got top marks and the comment that my style was engaging, entertaining and pulled the reader right into the article. I was pulled up on my punctuation, so will need to think about commas a bit more,,,.
...and of course, I've got to get my act together on the next assignment...
Yes, the instant rejection did p*ss me off quite a bit, but I enjoyed thanking them for their swift response. Needless to say I haven't heard back from them.
The Bear has been trying to dry himself on me too this evening, he hates being wet and normally goes and wees under the nearest car and races back into the house.
