Hi
Got to the end of your diary last night (took a few days mind!) and wanted to briefly put my head up and wave hello. Love your diary and have signed up to your blog.booskyeboo wrote: »Hi,
I am a long time lurker, but just love reading and seeing all that you all do,:) Piquant I hope you don't mind but I have put to follow your blog. I have to say I love the Captain tales I have not laughed so much in a long time. thank you. I am also an animal lover no horses I'm afraid but one big looney labrador:rotfl:
You are both very welcome, the more the merrier! And you'll keep me on my toes on the blog too I hope!
You are both mad if you read your way through the diary and obviously fully qualified to belong here...
We had rain this morning meaning I was greeted by a mud monster when I got to the yard. The Captain had missed his left hind leg, it was the only bit not covered in mud. His long mane and forelock were hanging in muddy dreadlocks a bit like an unwashed Bob Marley. Not for the first time I seriously considered hogging him! It took forever to clean him up!

I seem to have lost a lot of my get up and go. I've done what has to be done, but it's been hard work.
I found two jobs to apply for today. All done, ready for final review before I press the send button. I wonder if either will even bother acknowledging my application.
Unfortunately, I had to do a refund on one of my e*bay items this morning. Apparently it wasn't perfect....it was categorised as used. Rather than get into a fight and ruin my ratings I refunded. I want to list a few more items over the weekend as it's free listings. Painful, but necessary!
As mentioned earlier I turned a dark bay horse back into a piebald, even managed to clear the mud from his eyelashes! Dirty, dirty boy...It cut into our riding time meaning we didn't go to the woods, but spent half an hour in the school trying to race against a thoroughbred who was also in there. I think the Captain believed he will be running in the Grand National tomorrow, so needed a little practice...
My housework blitz fizzled out at the sight of the polish, perhaps I'll get up early tomorrow to do it
Hope you're all having a nice evening.

Sorry...:o Hogging is when the mane and sometimes the forelock is clipped off close to the skin, effectively leaving the horse with no mane at all.

Thanks for that stopped the imagination running riot:D - thought it would be something along those lines! You learn something everyday. Now when the horses clip clop up the lane I will be able to say 'Hey look at that horse. Its been hogged!' Not that OH or DD2 will be that impressed:rotfl:Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

My horse was a bay and very handsome he was too. Don't fret over the house work it'll still be there tomorrow and the day after that and the day............you get my drift.
Hope you managed to hit the send button and fingers crossed for a positive outcome.
