Oh my goodness, did I forget to tell you all about the feedback? I did, didn't I?

I got top marks and the comment that my style was engaging, entertaining and pulled the reader right into the article. I was pulled up on my punctuation, so will need to think about commas a bit more,,,.
...and of course, I've got to get my act together on the next assignment...

    Hi Piq,

thats great feedback and very encouraging I would think. Punctuation is not my strong point, I had lots of time off school and missed how its done I think:o. Whats your next assignment subject? I had a peek at your blog - looks good and those are ears just made for naughtiness :rotfl:. I guess a blog is a long term endeavour and just takes time to build up and get people reading etc?

Not surprised you were feeling a bit flat, its hard to keep putting in applications and ticking boxes for the DWP especially when you get a big fat silence in return. Really hope things pick up at least the Captain is there to lift your spirits [and keep you busy] :D.

Have a relaxing weekend - am off to update my diary instead of rummaging around on other people's which is much more interesting.

Yes, Ive found it !!! Just read the first paragraph and I'm hooked already !!!

As I have been banned fromthe Kitchen while the girls make me a birthday cake, I have every excuse for once to settle down and read to my hearts content !!

It's not that exciting! It's a grown up version of here, but without all the friends and laughter. I'm hoping I get plenty of comments, that way I may eventually be able to earn a little money out of it and get a feeling for how my writing is progressing.

I'll post some of the Captain stories up thee too and see if they get a reaction.

The Captain did a prison break last night and went out for a night on the tiles. Somebody didn't fasten the kick bolt on his stable door, so he let himself out.

The breakfasts are stacked at the end of each stable block ready for the morning, he knocked over all the stacks and ate every single carrot in every single breakfast bucket. He spilled the water buckets leaving them all over the place and was found happily grazing grass behind the muckheap this morning. He also had the nerve to demand breakfast!

He has suffered no ill effects from his overdose of carrots but is on double lock-down tonight.

I've just had a disagreement with the man pet and sent him home. For varying reasons we haven't managed to get together this week so we were looking forward to a bottle of wine, pizza and a film this evening.

During the evening his dd texted and called seven times for nothing in particular. She is staying over night at his house as she was going out with some friends and was supposed to be out for the evening. Not that it matters about her being on her own for a few hours she is 33! She knew he was coming round to my house, so felt it necessary to keep asking where the bread was, did he have any chips in the freezer and so on.

I could feel myself getting crosser by each text or call. In the end I told him to go home and find out what the matter was, why couldn't she leave us alone for a few hours? I guess he feels caught between a rock and a hard place, but for goodness sake, he's entitled to a life of his own without having spot checks on what time he's coming home

I get to finish off the wine though:D

Now Piq, I don't think you've read the training manual properly. Remember that man pets have a very short attention span and, although quite happy sitting doing nothing, will get very excited and respond every time something 'shiny and new' pops up. The way to handle it, as you have done, is to withdraw privileges and send to the naughty corner/house. Chastising may work, but some man pets get overexcited by this too and for heavens sake don't even think about smacking him .

You may get some tips HERE :D.

Hopefully he'll be back soon with his tail between his legs ;).
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

:rotfl::rotfl:Gally you have made spit my morning tea over the laptop - thanks! :rotfl:

I suppose I could use the same training principles I've used on the Captain but with no mention of saddles, whips or spurs...

Love the article, did you find it when training your own pets?

I'm over it now although clearly if our relationship moves on I'll have to deal with any issues his daughter has.

Hope the sun is shining wherever you are gally.
