When I used to help out at the local stables we used to ride a pony home for lunch and tether it in the garden (we had an acre) while we ate.
And at the end of the day I came home on my bike with a bucket of manure on each side of the handlebars for Dad's garden - 50p a bucket, 25p if it had straw in it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
How is the cv going? Did you come up with something for Linkedin? Been skim reading so may have missed it:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -

My dad still makes me bring him manure from the stables :rotfl:I have to put bags of it in the boot of the car, moved on from bikes. Dad says it's nice to know where the manure comes from...
I've been having a conversation with one of my friends on here, via pm about Linkedin. It's going to need a careful approach so as not to tell the wrong story. If you like I'll pm you my connection, you may see what I mean then. You only get one chance to get it right, connections will read it when they see you've got a new 'job', probably just to be nosy. Whatever is up there is what they're going to take away.

I didn't update yesterday evening, I was very tired and had an early night. Then woke up at 2:30am and couldn't get back to sleep, talk about self defeating!
I did all the normal things, like looking for work, not a single role I could apply for. I'll be on it again shortly.
Took the Captain out for a hack and he was a bar steward. He decided that the chicken farm, the one that we've been going past for years, was a no-go area. All because a sheep in a field opposite said baa to him, and because the Captain didn't answer repeated the comment. Incidentally, the sheep have been there for a year, it's a huge flock of four sheep...
I must have spent ten minutes alternating between standing in a ditch and going backwards down the road. Eventually, he tip-toed past the sheep and we went on our way.
I think the sheep was amused by the Captain's reaction and was waiting for us to return. As we were tiptoeing past the darn thing baaed at him again, causing him to leap into trot to get away. I'm sure the sheep dined out on the story of how he terrorised a horse and is probably known among his flock of three as super-sheep.
The Captain was hot and sweaty when we got back to the yard [so was I] so I gave him a bath, which he hated! I'm sure he will have rolled in something very unpleasant by now to pay me back!
I wanted to post a picture of him after his bath, but despite moo2moo's help I can't post a picture directly in this post. I've seen other posts with pictures, but I can only link back to photobucket. Ah well, such is the life of a technophobe...

Oh Piq you have such a way with words I love reading your stories. So yesterday whilst on boring teleconferences, I started doing some research on publishing, self publishing blah blah and I came across this chap who has written a blog with all free information on this very thing. Here is the link, might be better read at the weekend as the bad weather comes back tomorrow xx

Hopefully, this is a picture of the Captain, he was an a**e so that's what I'm showing! Clean plaited tail, he is not aware of how 'pretty boy' he's looking!

I remember writing my grocery list whilst on a teleconference call, there's always a windbag on them too, seems you can't have a call without one of them taking all the air out of the atmosphere for an hour or so!
Thanks for the link, I've saved it and will investigate this evening, with a glass of wine I think!

Agree...my neighbour used to do housework on them...whilst wandering around the house. Dusting and the like. The power of the mute button;)
I suspect my colleagues would say I am the windbag..or the bossy one anyway:pMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal
