I have very very sadly neglected your diary , but I am catching up now. I often relay some of your Captain stories to my DD who I think I mentioned before is horse mad.

So sorry to hear about the job situation. Personally as I dont know you at all, but love the way you write, I think that while you are looking for work you should start compiling a book of short stories about the Captain and his adventures, send it off to a few publishing houses, get an amazing book deal and bobs your uncle !!! Or ..........have I missed something and you are already doing this ?!!

I don't feel neglected, so don't worry, anyway I'm busy interfering on your diary now, and allegedly lowering the tone:rotfl:

I've already started the Captain book and I'm doing a writing course in my spare time, of which there's a lot! I've heard of people just sending off three or four chapters to a publishing house and getting the 'okay we're interested, send us the rest by xxx and we'll talk further' However, I haven't done the research into which publishing house would be the right one to approach first.

I'm not working but don't seem to have enough time!

I could quite easily have lowered the tone on many occasions, but I just needed a partner in crime to help me on my merry way !!! :rotfl:

Thats great news with the writing, but theres never enough hours in the day is there ? I wonder if there is somebody secretly luking in the shadows, who is in the know about who to approach etc. Maybe you should just send what you have so far to everybody for the hell of it !

I think because life is difficult for all of us in debt, we try to keep things light when we can and that includes a bit of fun on the diaries. We all know there's tears and despair lurking in the background, but if it's a good day, they can stay right there and we can enjoy our virtual friends and laughter.

There are amazing people on here, who are helping even though they have their own problems. Sometimes it makes me quite emotional.

I am supposed to be doing my cv.....and I will do it before I go to sort out the Captain at lunchtime.

I'll write up another Captain story tonight, it might be the Captain and Dogman, not sure yet.

Totally agree, I have been moved to tears before when I have been having a moment and someone has posted something kind on my diary ! Makes me feel a bit of a wimp, but I agree there are some amazing people on here !! Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if were all put in a big room together. Would we be able to pick out whos who just from what they have written ?!

Anyway I really must to some work now. Would you mind if I printed The Captain, The Know it all and the Muckheap for DD2 to read ? I usually relay your stories to her, but I'm sure they arent so funny !! She does give me quizzical looks as to where on earth I am getting these horsey stories from !!

Of course you can print it. There's another one further back about the Captain, the underpants and the bird of prey. I think it's in blue so it's easy to pick out that it's not part of the debt story.

Yes I love that one, I did attempt to relay that to her sometime ago, but maybe I will just print it. So much funnier when you tell it.:D I just dont get horses, but I am learning having spent alot of time with DD at the stables. I am learning to love them, and even have my own favourite now where she rides !!

Just read your first post and to be honest I can't go trough all 27 pages. But I read the first post and I must take my hat off for you. Even though I live in Denmark and are miles from you. I like how you take things on and dont let you drag your self complety down. I admire your courage, even if its about the opposite gender. I really hope he threats you well - You deserve that!
