The cheek of the woman! No that is not normal viewing behaviour. You have a survey to check there are no structural worries. Don't worry Piq. If the house is right for someone they will buy it. What's at the bottom of your airing cupboard will not figure in the decision.

    Take care

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I have so much potential ebay stuff. Just opened the cupboard in the study and realised there's a couple of laptop bags in there that can go.

Two more parcels to post today, still outstanding payment on a couple and another dozen items piled up ready to photo.

Mum and nephew are doing a carboot sale at the weekend and have offered to sell some of my junk. The car is full to the rafters :D Quite large stuff like the broken hose reel, brooms and masses of kitchen paraphernalia. I'm going to drop that over there shortly.

I sent off 40 DVD/CD to Zapper and provided they meet all criteria will eventually receive a cheque for £24. It's not a lot considering what must have been spent in the first place, but it's clearing the place down and putting money in the moving fund.

Tonight it'll be another evening shift, quite a busy one I think with a fair bit of catering so I'll be lucky to get out by 12, can't be helped :(

Bin day today, there's a little bit of room left so I'm off to find some stuff to chuck in. I can't believe how much stuff I have!

Are you finding the clearing process cathartic? I know a lot of people say they find it lightens them.

I hate opening cupboards and suddenly finding another pile of highly useful stuff, that you thought you needed but never actually used ..

    Hi Piq
Please don't do viewings yourself , you are paying an EA to do this for you tell them to it themselves! cheeky beggars what do they think they are being paid for?
The cheek of the woman I would have told her to get out she is seeing the house not the contents of cupboards!
Well done on the clearing out of stuff and keep up good work.

Do you think there are little people whose sole role in life is to find stuff and shove in the backs of cupboards?

Hubby and I are continuing the decluttering, blimey we haven't half got a stack to shift!! Spent today typing the descriptions and photos for over 100 lots for eBay:eek: it has taken me two days and an evening to count all my beads and jewellery findings to go into lots....in total I think I shall be listing about 200 lots on Friday :eek::eek:

Still, if it sells there will enough to pay some bills and buy some food! What an exciting life I lead lol.

Piq you are doing so well. Agree with others: you are paying the EA so let them do the showings.

    Hi :)

Just found your thread on Monday and its taken me this long to catch up. I don't know about anyone else here but my problem is I'm a serial hobbyist. I get into something buy stuff for it and then after a year or two get into something else and leave the previous stuff to lurk neglected in boxes.

Following your lead I shall try to release some of this stuff for other hobbyists to enjoy (there's probably stuff they don't even make any more in my cupboards)

really looking forward to following this diary to your debt freeness Piquant

The airing cupboard emptier has said that my house is too far away from a town and is in the country..... and there was me wondering what rural location meant :rotfl:

Unfortunately, the folks who came round to look at it a second time have decided that there is too much work to do on the outside and it is too much for their budget. I feared the rendering was going to be a problem. I not sure what to do as I can't afford to do it myself.

An item I put on eb@y for 99p has sold for £48 :T:T and another 99p item has gone for £26 :T In the hope that they sell well I have been scrubbing up some of my riding boots with a view to putting them up there this weekend, free listing. I must photo a couple more things before work so that I can post them in the continual quiet period that is work :( I suppose I'm making money on the side quite legally so I shouldn't grumble. I've even set up a spreadsheet for my eb@y transactions.

Bloomin' printer has just run out of ink, so I must order some in a minute. Pain in the proverbial!

Not a lot else to report, I'm stuck here waiting for the man who is coming to service the boiler, could be a long while. I've warned work I may be a bit later. I want the certificate as part of the house details.

Ah yes, preloved treasures....or shoes that hurt [not in the eb@y description :D]

It is quite cathartic, but also sad in a way. So much money spent only to recoup pennies on stuff that wasn't needed anyway. I haven't sold or thrown away anything remotely special to me yet.

'sokay she doesn't want the house - too rural!

The Captain is fine and dandy, but getting old now, I can see it in his gait. So the old curmudgeon is officially retired now. No more riding :( sad, but it's best for him.

One hundred lots :eek::eek: and there's me thinking I'm fantastic for listing two items a day :rotfl: It's the packing and posting that puts me off listing more, oh and the fact I hate doing it in the first place :o
